For anyone who struggling to get the elastic or a string or whatever you use to make your kandi through the other beads I highly recommend tapestry needles. I use them almost every time I make kandi and it just makes everything so much easier and so much faster. Thankfully I already had them on hand because I started making candy after I learned how to crochet and knit (which is why I had the tapestry needles). You can get metal or plastic ones and they can be found at any craft store Walmart dollar tree basically anywhere with craft material. They are just large needles that are not sharp at all
