Nothing beats the original Poseidon's rage. It just felt so powerful plus seeing the number of hits you get was so satisfying (plus the invincibility frames)

Yes Poseidon's rage was legendary in GOW 1 i used it the most playing that game i might add the Effreet from GOW chains of olympus as second best i enjoyed that ability.

The only god of war game where i actually LOVED and USED all of his weapons was GOW3. They were all absolutely amazing and useful with claws of hades being my all time favorite.
@Cal O'neill The blade of Olympus in my opinion was the best weapon in GOW2. Unfortunately you couldn't utilize it as long as you wanted in Gow3
@Cal O'neill The spear of destiny was definitely not useless, it was a good ranged area of effect weapon to help keep several enemies at bay and it was quite quick. Good for attacking enemies from a distance too. The barbarian hammer wasn't as good because it was slower and you couldn't dodge roll with it.
I almost agree with you; I loved almost every weapon in GOW3, as they were handled beautifully in every which way, except for the Nemesis Whip, in my opinion
The only flaw in that weapon, in my opinion, is that it visually wasn't impressive, with fairly minimal and muted electric visuals; it's Level 5 aesthetics were as visually appealing as the other weapons' level 1.
If it had the visual effects of the Lightning element in Ascension (but green), then I can say all weapons in GOW3 were the best... but that's just me

Its actually a double-edge weapon of choice.
It hits hard and does not do knockbacks like the Blades of Chaos to deal repeated heavy damage most especially, when you're up against the Banshees.
I've been forced to use the Arms of Sparta because I can't get past the Banshees in Very Hard Mode.

I should try it next time I continue the Challenge of the Titans. The challenge where you're health drains is a BeeYATCH! That and the one where you have to protect the guy who's on his knees praying.
I'm in the middle of trying to complete Bonus Objective so I can get the rest of the 2 Urns. It's not easy but like Kratos said in 2018 "We win because we are determined".
My three favourite blades:
Blades of Athena, Blades of Chaos, and Blades of Exile

it does x2 or x3 the damage of the Blade of Chaos, and it doesn't drain any of your mana, the only downside is that it's introduced so late in chains of Olympus, but the game would've been easier if you got it early lol

1. Blades of Chaos = A Twin Blade crafted by Ares in the Deep of Underworld. The Blades chained upon Kratos, as a proof of his Loyalty. The Blades became his primary weapon from there on.
A. God of War Ascension
1. Fire of Ares = A Portion of Ares's Magics. Equip Kratos with the power to burn his enemies and Cause Explosions.
2. Ice of Poseidon = A Portion of Poseidon's power. Equip Kratos with the power of Ice to freeze up his Enemy.
3. Lightning of Zeus = A Portion of Zeus's Power. Equip Kratos with the power over Thunderstrikes.
4. Soul of Hades = A Portion of Hades's Abilities. Equip Kratos with the power of the Dead and summons spirits to vaporize his enemies.
5. The Amulet of Uroboros = Gain after killing Castor and Pollux. The Amulet equips with the power over time. Allow Kratos to Decay and Heal the object.
6. Oath Stone of Orkos = Given to him by Orkos. Allow Kratos to create a Black Clone of Himself to aid him solving puzzle or fight.
7. Eyes of Truth = The Eyes of the Oracle Aletheia. Allow Kratos to destroy the Illusions and Barriers created by the Furies.
B. Chain of Olympus :
1. The Efreet = Gain after killing the Persian King. Allow Kratos to summon a Fire Djinn that Punch the Grounds and deal fire Damage.
2. Primordial Fire = A Fire use by Helios. Allow Kratos to solve any puzzle in the Cave of Olympus.
3. Sun Shield = A Shield wielded by Sun God Helios. The Shield allow Kratos to reflect any attacks.
4. Triton's Lance = A Lance belonge dto Triton God. Allow Kratos to breath when swim and Dive under the Water
5. Gauntlet of Zeus = Founded in Tartarus, a Weapon used by Zeus to chained the Titans. A large Gauntlet that allow Kratos to deal powerful Damage.
6. Light of Dawn = A Magic from Eos. Allow Kratos to shoot spheres of Energy.
7. Charon's Wrath = Using Charon's Mask allow Kratos to shoot Green Ravenous Flame toward his enemies.
C. God Of War 1 :
1. Poseidon's Rage = Given by Poseidon, allow Kratos to cast a Powerful Electricity Streak that Blast his enemies.
2. Medusa's Gaze = Given by Aphrodite after killing Medusa. Allow Kratos to turn his enemies into Stones.
3. Zeus's Fury = A Magic given by Zeus. Allow Kratos to fire Kightning Bolt from his Hands.
4. Rage of the Gods = Allow Kratos to deal more damage to his enemies.
5. Blade of Artemis = Given by Artemis, allow Kratos to deal more Damage.
6. Poseidon's Trident = Allow Kratos to swim underwater without Drowning.
7. Army of Hades = Given by Hades. The Magic allow Kratos to summon the Spirit of the Underworld.
8. Blade of the Gods = A bridge between Athen and Suicide Bluff. Kratos use it to kill Ares.
9. Blades of Athena = A Replacement for Blades of Chaos. Given by Athena as his weapon as a God of War.
10. Pandora's Box = A box created by Hephaesthus to contain the Evil from the Great War. Kratos seeks it to gain the power to kill Ares. However, the evil of the box was also escape from the box and infected the Olympians. Resulting they became the Enemy in later game.
D. Ghost of Sparta :
1. Eye of Atlantis = An artifact picked by Kratos. Allow him toshoot a powerful Magical Lightning toward his enemies.
2. Thera's Bane = Imbued the Blades of Athena with Thera's power. Allow it to deal more Fire Damages.
3. Scourge of Erinys = Gain after killing Erinys. Allow Kratos to summon aVoid Sphere that suck out the Orbs and instantly kill the enemies.
4. Horn of Boreas = A horn of the North Wind Boreas. Allow Kratos to freeze his enemies.
5. Arms of Sparta = A Spear and Shield wielded by Kratos when he is a Child. Allow him to defend fromenemy attacks and Shootout his spear rapidly.
E. God of War II :
1. Blade of Olympus = Crafted by Zeus to end the Great War. Give to Kratos to suck out his Godly Hood to destroy the Colossus.
2. Typhon's Bane = A Magical Bow gained from Typhon's Eye. Allow him to shoot an Arrow-shaped air.
3. Rage of the Titans = Gained after Prometheus fall into the Fire. Allow Kratos to deal more damage.
4. Cronus's Rage = Given by Cronus. Allow Kratos to shoot the Lightning Orb that Strike his enemies.
5. Barbarian Hammer = Gained from Alrik. Allow Kratos to summon the Spirits of the Underworld and deal Heavy Damaged.
6. Head of Euryale = Gained from Euryale. Similar with Medusa's Gaze allow him to turn his enemies into stones.

Love this comment, but what about the Tornado Magic Attack at the beginning of GoW 3. In case you guys forgot, you create a dark tornado surrounding you, you have it until you fall into the Underworld after Gaia betrays you.
Does anybody know, are you able to regain that ability the same way that you unlocked Poseidon's Rage in GoW 2 and swapped out Crono's Rage with it?

Claws of Hades, Nemesis Whip, Arms of Sparta and Kratos new Axe are my favorite weapons of Kratos.
I love using the Blade of Olympus in GoW 2, especially when you max it out. Shooting Projectiles as you swing the Blade? Fuck YES!
Zeus's Gauntlet is a close one but Hercules's Gauntlets I like better because it's 2 hands instead of just 1. Also loved the Blades of Chaos back in Ascension because you can engulf the blades in other elemental attacks. Lastly, the Leviathan Axe is great but I like Thor's weapon better because it's not useless against Helheim's creature unlike the Leviathan Axe's Ice Element, I'd take Lightning over Ice anyway.
Don’t you just love how realistic god of war ascension is. I can’t seem to pick which has more detail between GOWA and GOW4.

Ascension is amazing but it doesn't compare due to the concept of camera angles ....and I love the older gows better , but 4 is a far better gaming experience because of the slight freedom the with the camera angles

I remember back then when i play GoW2 in early game when Kratos is still not obtaining the Blade of Olympus, he's using the Original Athena's blade with gold fire and i was so excited about it because it's looks so cool.
Sadly after he's saved by Gaia and upgrade the Athena's blade from that point, the fire color is no longer gold and become red instead.
There’s a setting in the game where you can still play with the golden blades of Athena in new game plus. Also In GOW 3 you can find the blades of Athena behind Aphrodite’s bed

I still think God of War 3 was the best game out of the whole series, the graphics and the beyond atmosphere of it was horrific but badass at the same time plus sad too, killing all the gods and then going through the lake of blood when Pandora died from the flames... that shit was crazy

Fire of Ares is so fucking cool. One of the good things God of War Ascension did right was it's special ability. That roar gives me chills and feels so overwhelming.

This is something I definitely miss about the old god of war games getting new weapons or combining the blades of chaos/Athena with the power of the gods I hope in Ragnarok we get new weapons or a possibility we can use some of the old weapons from the old games
What about the Tornado from the beginning of GoW 3? The Magic Power you had until Gaia betrays you and you fall into the Underworld.
It feels like a crime to not showcase it in the video.

GoW 2, you can use any weapon with the Titan Rage.
GoW 3, you only use the blade when you're in Spartan Rage and the fast movements as your swinging sucks, I miss my targets alot when in this mode but it's not garbage. It was a good idea on paper but when the swing pacing is executed it's terrible.

I noticed that Kratos' axe is quite similar to Thor's hammer because they both return to their owners, like if they were jedi. The difference is that not only Kratos can pick up his axe :D

Not technically a power but still worth mentioning... I think u forgot the kick of sparta or smth which u gain in ghost of sparta after u beat the game and restart it ( new game +) ... Does super dmg and propels enemies back... Loved that move sooo much
