what and incredible and beautiful cover of one of Dimmu Borgirs most iconic songs and I have allways loved this song because as a Scandinavian from Denmark this song means a lot to me.
If one translate the lyrics into Danish or simply listen to the original Norwegian lyrics,the song can be seen as the story of a knight who died a long long time ago and who is brought back from hell to the world of the living and then he begins to walk/ride across the Norwegian countryside on a harvest day in the fall and sees how Norway has been changed from the original Norse mythology(him seeing the old runes that once was on the side of the mountains but are now washed away by the wind,rain and time)and he sees the christian churches that are now dominating the country.
And somehow that makes me sad because the song reminds me of all the things we as scandinavians has lost and are still losing today.
from 0:18 to 3:03 is simply so beautiful that it makes me cry and this is how Dimmu Borgir wil always sound like to me and their 3 first albums are the best Black Metal ever made and especially Enthrone darkness triumphant is the best Black Metal album ever made by any Band and sadly after that Dimmu Borgir lost their melodic and beautiful sound and I stopped listening to their new stuff.And this cover is just mind blowing and when I close my eyes I can se the old tired hell-knight standing in front of a mountain along with his horse with an enormous sword by his side and when he sees how weak Scandinavia has become the hellfires begins to burn in his eyes with all the hate and anger of hell and he mounts his horse and begins a ride to wipe out alle the weakness and fake religions that has invaded Norway and the rest Scandinavia.
Thank you for sharing, i am American and did not know the translation of this amazing song.

As a Scandinavian myself I can only agree with that interpretation of Stormblåst and that song always makes me cry and also makes me feel so much anger and hate towards the weakling politicians and other weak and stupid people who have been allowing and still are allowing Muslims,gays and woke stupidity to destroy my old northern Country.
May they burn in hellfire for what they have done and are still doing and I wish such an old hell Knight would come back and destroy them.
