I always wonder what happens to the people that run do they eventually get caught or are they free
in the USA most of the times if they have a license plate on their bike then the cops will just show up at your door even after a week and take you to jail. However in Sweden if you manage to get away and go home, and they cant catch you within 24 hours then you're basically good to go and they cant try to pull you over just because you ran from them a day or two ago.

me and my buddy ran from the police on our bikes. we got away and they let off on the chase but the city we were in had 1800 cameras all over the place and they followed us on the cameras back to hwere we were and arrested us. only run on highways or if youre close to another state.
i got 5800€ fine when i ran and got caught because someone snitched.

Dude man had a fender eliminator, that wasn't OEM.
I have never seen an OEM plate mount that makes it hard to actually see the plate.
To be real specific about it, federal law requires the plate to be mouted a as the rear most thing on a bike, perpendicular to the ground. That's why when you walk into a bike dealership you see this ugly fender thing sticking out from behind the new bikes that holds the plate and the federally required red side marker reflectors. The bike would never get DOT certification from federal government to be sold in the US without those. No need to blame the manufacturer when it's obvious it didn't come from them that way.

ngl, I partially side with the German police here.
That rear light is illegal in the EU because the blinkers and brake light are 1 unit. Meaning your rear lights are also your blinkers, that's confusing and less safe (and hence also illegal in the EU)
combi brakelight/blinkers are not forbidden in the EU you can have dual-style blinkers that also act as a brake/running light - BUT they have to be spaced with a mininun distance (eg ktms 1390 duke now and k think 990 too dont have seperate brake lights anymore but blinkers with dual function - these are legal
his problem was that he had a brake light with integrated blinkers - thats illegal as there is no distance between left and right blinkers
In the US you're required to have 9 inches between turn signals. Guy's can try to claim 9" with the integrated tail light but we all know guys aren't all that great at measuring ...

I’ve been pulled over seven or eight times and just been honest and cordial with them and I’ve never been to court or even gotten a ticket they always gave me warnings

One good thing about riding a Harley touring bike is there's no key in the ignition for the cop to take, lol. You want my key officer? It's at home on my night stand, lol. Pro tip, when a cop asks you if you know what you did or if you know why you were pulled over the answer is always "no". Never incriminate yourself, cops get paid well to do their jobs, no need to it for them.
lawful riders will be punished more and more for doing the right thing with fines, fees, registrations, licenses, ticketed for improper plates that wont allowed you to be "tolled" for even more money....
meanwhile many places have no chase rules for simple traffic stops essentially rewarding "bad" riders.
its a generally understood economic principle that you tax what you want to see decrease and subsidize what you want to see increase...

The rearlight of that bike are unsafe and illegal in the EU because the brake lights are also blinkers so they're less safe and confusing (which is why they're illegal in the EU)

I have highly modified my engine, not EPA legal.
I have put on headers and an open exhaust, not EPA legal. I have mirrors, aftermarket and not technically illegal, etc.
I never have a problem with inspection or the law.

I live in America and three years ago the laborers at the local hardware stores were Hispanic, they are now different races/cultures entirely. Along with that, they are also not that well trained in the type of labor people hire them for from what I hear. I’m eventually retiring and moving to Thailand though. Done with this American/western civilization crap.
Sorry but what? EVERY Motor Vehicle has to follow strict laws in Gemrany, so you dont get killed by idiots with faulty brakes or because an aftermarket piece didnt worked right.
If you tune your Vehicle with stuff that simply isnt allowed you have to pay and that is a good thing.

I am truly amazed how so many states dont seem to enforce bike mods that remove the factory street legal setup. IMHO signals and mirrors should never be messed with - regardless how cool the bike looks. And having a visible plate of course. As for the rear fender...I am divided.
Flashers aren't required on bikes. In my state you don't need to even have turn signals because you can use hand signals.
