I’m new to your channel, yet there is so much familiarity in your content. Your faith is the most familiar to me. My Grandma would go out in the yard and harvest the dandelions often, and while preparing them she would share so many wonderful stories with me. These stories I treasure, as we lost her several years ago. Thank you so much for sharing with us and for making my heart warm.❤

It's nice to see someone else saying this about dandelions! I actually let them grow wild on our lake and make all kinds of products from them. It's all about perspective: Is it a problematic weed or a cute little health food? 😉

If you want to, you can use the stems too (not as food) They are very fibrous and thus when dried and rehydrated can be twisted into a beautiful and strong cordage!

I can’t wait to get out of our neighborhood that has an HOA. Using pesticides and herbicides is mandatory or they put a lien on our home. We’re trying to find a house to purchase without an HOA but it’s looking pretty grim out there. 🙏🏻 my husband said “we only need one! God knows our needs and desires!”

Dandelion and clover is wonderful. Very needful for the survival of pollinators. Unfortunately, the foolish practice of chemical spraying is so common in my area that I don't feel it's safe to forage and consume them. I buy dandelion tea made from leaves and roots at a certain grocery store. It's very good for urinary tract infections.

Watching this while drinking tea made with fresh nettle harvested from my property. We also live in the mountains but in Ohio. We have a creek on our property that has water coming from a spring. I love all of the wild flowers growing. I also have yellow and purple violets, star chickweed, trillium, foam flower, wild geraniums, wild blue phlox, thistle, dwarf crested iris, and so many others. I know the violets and chickweed are edible. This weekend, I am making a wild flower salad with dinner. I want to find out about the other flowers that are growing. Spring is my favorite season.

❤I definitely would love to try this!! My question is: Does the time of year for the dandelions make the tea taste differently? Is it better to wait for a later week batch as the weather warms? Silly question I know but I'm here in Kentucky and our weather is bonkers this Spring. Fifty one day and two days later eighty! I'm seeing lots of the puff dandelions but just now beginning to see the pretty floral kind. Do the temps make the difference? Your chickens are so pretty! I can so see them in bonnets while dining on dandelions!

It makes me so sad that we can’t just go out and get the herbs and flowers and etc. that we want to use. You always have to be cautious of if it’s been sprayed. Even in the country due to farmers spraying their crops. We could have everything for free but instead we kill or toxic everything so only certain people can obtain them and sell them for profit. It’s such a sad world we live in, IMO. 😢
