Learned something new about regripping with a finger on the brake! Thanks
These are the best videos on YT for technique, I learn something every time
Best explanation and visual representation of where to look in a corner that I've seen so far. I now realize I'm either looking at my fender or 100 feet away. This helped a lot, thank you! Awesome stuff. 👍✌️
Such a great tip on re-gripping and something that is hardly ever mentioned or spoken about. Will be trying to implement this into my riding as I get the inconsistent results as mentioned in this video. Brilliant 👌 Keep up the great work AJ 👌 I love watching these, good luck in the coming supercross season 🍀
One of the most important fundamental riding skills is looking ahead!
Love the content man! Very helpful and I’m gonna be becoming a Pateron soon cause I really think what you’re doing for these young and also older riders is awesome!
I just joined today to see what it’s all about and so far, it’s great 👍
Absolutely man, I’ve seen all his videos and Aj is a very good teacher, also seems to be really positive and definitely knows what he’s talking about when it comes to motocross!! 😎 cool dude
@@bananas625 I completely agree, has helped me in a lot of ways already, with me just starting to ride it’s a life saver lol. Like you said very helpful for advanced riders and beginners.
Thanks for the tip of the finger as a stopper, I never thought of that.
Damn... finally info in there re-griping... thank you!!
I just wish I could have seen all his videos before I started riding 15 years ago and never had gotten all these bad habits that one gets from riding the wrong way over the years. I did had a coach as a kid, but the wat AJ teaches is superior and makes it so much easier to apply.
I've not done any MX but a lot of road racing. I keep my head always square to my shoulders and my :swing thought" is to keep my nose on my line. If oyu try to keep your eyes focused at a point in front of the bike, your brain is trapped in a constant loop of re-focus and re-compute and your body reacts in chain long-duration, periodic readjustments. SO, if you in a corner for 3 seconds, only 1 of thise seconds include active control. The rest of the time you are waiting on the cycle to complete..Study the USAFs "OODA Loop" to pump up your riding
come to South Carolina, im sure it'll sell out
AJ another great vid
I been waiting to see your trick on throttle repositioning
When do you do the reposition while you are still braking ???
if so the bars must nearly come out of your hands??
A video on this would be great
Thanks for all your riding tips its hard to teach us old timers new tricks :-)
AJ tell them you need the Hardwear kit! Both that and the vented jerseys run small, you will love them.
Loving the "bloopers" in the beginning!
The Oneal kits are fire man so dope you signed with them🤙🏼
Love O'Neal pumped to see you with them
I'm allways looking at my front fender to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. And by the way- my cornering is amazingly,,,,,,,,BAD and it has sucked for the last 17 years.
So thank you for sharing some good tips here.
Hahah!
Can’t wait to see you in Glendale Arizona, great videos I always get great info for improving my riding skills.
Thought I was strange riding with my finger always on the front brake, feel better now 😀👊🏻
The days I have bad rides are the ones where I'm looking at my front tire in the ruts all day, its a nightmare.
anyone else talk themselves through the turns while they're riding??
Hahaha your not the only one ☝️
Thanks aj I’ve been watching your tips a ton and it’s been helping a ton. Also yur supercross vlog is insane you should use that for a lot of your videos cuz it’s really cool
I hired film crew for this years Supercross season , so my race vlogs will be next level!
Best videos ever
Any chance of doing a west cost tour? You could do a whole video about my bad habits!
Just joined the club. Excited to be apart of the group and learn as much as I can 🙌🤙🏻
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great video AJ
as always bro
But would love to see you do a couple of how it should be done on the students bike , it’s always a 🤩WoW moment 💨
Always intend to do that, but I had a leg injury while this video was shot so I never got on his bike
Quadin, I took one of AJs classes this year and he rode my bike. Was really neat to see the potential of the bike and its not often someone can say a pro rider rode their bike. Pretty damn cool
You’ve not been playing around that crazy Pastranaland again have you 😫🤘🤣👌💨💨💨🏆
If possible please make more videos on turning in ruts, I'm getting better but I'm still struggling with them
re-gripping is not that hard but i always struggle braking for the next corner if I re-grip. Do you let the throttle slide in your hand or let it go for a split second? I find it hard to find a comfotable way of doing this.
Damn i feel like hiring you for a whole season as my coach and trainer.. Oneal Riders day soon?

You should do a video on the best way to get back to 100% after a big injury.
I recently tore my ACL racing and just had surgery. It is expected to probably be a year before I can start racing again and I know that it will be a struggle to get back to the level I was at.
I could do that. I tore my acl in 2016 at Detroit SX. Raced the rest of season with it then had surgery in May. I was back on the bike in 6 months. Acl is one of those where it’s much better safe than sorry!! Wait until you have full confidence in that thing
lol i have the exact same dirt bike just with a supper loud fmf exaust
I suffer from being a sight seer at time, looking at the terrain as though someone else were riding through it. Focus!!
Two away from 400 patreons 🙌🙌🙏🏻🔜
Hey AJ, someone might comment on this, but at what age do you still think someone can start doing Motocross? Just for fun, but still master the basics and be comfortable doing 100ft tabletops etc. I'm 30 now and been doing Enduro my whole life and went to the track about 10 times, struggling with technique. Is this something someone my age can still learn, or is 30 pushing it? Thanks and love all the vids man
Good question. To go pro, I would say getting into the sport as a teenager would be nearly impossible. To go out and have fun and do decent sized jumps, I bet I could train a mid 40 year old to do that in a few months of consistent training
@@AjCatanzaro Really hope to meet you some day man! Thanks for the assurance
I'm alot alike "Carlos", making similar mistakes but much older riding enduro locally...Got Patreon?
Coming back to colorado anytime soon?
Any chance you come to Utah?? If you did where would you go? I would love to attend a class!!
n1!!!! thanks aj !
Killer pants rip candy blue with cr red on your best track
Do you wear a chest protector when you ride
Do you have any tips on how to hit jumps with a kicker
Is there a video somewhere on your channel explaining what to do with your elbows in turns? If so can I have the link please? Keep up the great work
Go to his page that being said elbows up and forward on the seat seems to be the general consensus from his videos and feet on the pegs.
Body forward on the seat*
Jerseys clean
Make a video on starts!
Will do!
hey quick question when I brake tap it is hard for me to "tap" the brake sometimes I hold it and have almost went over the bars do you know how I can prevent this or should I just practice more
You continue to hold it when you land you mean? That’s most likely a product of you not riding in the correct foot position in the first place
hi guys, im new to motocross and 17 years old.
I might get a ktm 250 sx-f but im not sure. It is a bike that keeps having issues or not?
Im looking to be keeping the bike for some time.

I hope yall can help me?
Ktm 250f is great bike. Brand new, you can’t go wrong
To the 1% reading this god bless, stay safe and have a wonderful day (my dream is to become a famous moto vloger) Thanks❤️❤️
i learned you cant ride motocross in canada for another 3 months
What pro's did you ask? lol
Himself
😂
He sent himself a email and asked🧐🤦🏼♂️😂
@@AjCatanzaro got the joke. I'm from CT so I've met you a few times.
Not taking advice from someone who cant even ride in a straight line😂😂😂😂😂😂
