      That's the gold in the skit, that took me multiple watchings, before I had to shake my head, and rattle that nugget out. (It's like the reverse Bugs Bunny). Kind of makes me think, that Looney Tunes might have been, just as intelligent, as these great comedic legends became, (for their respective times).

      Sebastian T. Dangerfield i get it, its the first words you hear which are great, lets you know what you are getting into although thats the whole point of the title so it pointless also the line i referred to brung humour which (i dont know about you) caught me off guard.       @@Joe_J12e They can BOTH be the best line same as I can love all three of my kids, EQUALLY. When I first saw this, it was on terrestrial TV, back in the 1970's. The show's format was that one sketch ended and another simply began (sometimes two or more ending and starting seamlessly). There was no sign saying "Argument Clinic Sketch". They just did it. Consequently, when Michael Palin says "I'd like to have an argument, please", that alone would have been enough, had the sketch ended right there and then, LOL

    How these guys kept their faces straight is, aside from the original writing, probably
    their greatest talent. Incredible! Original, creative and funny, perfectly executed. I was just

    This was one of their best sketches. I remember when I watched it all those years ago I thought it the work of genius, the timing of both Cleese and Palin was faultless and their characters extremely plausible. 10 out of 10 comedy gold.

    I was saddened by the fact they cut the part of the clinic where you go to a room to be verbally abused. However, I am a teacher and once showed the old version to my students and that part had the word "tit" in it. Now I could officially recommend it. I learned about as much or more from Monty Python about how to think and talk intellectually than going to college.
