Hi ,I have managed to germinate these bismarkia seeds I have two that have made it ,please can you tell me when I can expect a fan frond they have both got four single fronds any advice would be appreciated thank you. Regards Frank.
9b and above in most cases. They will need some heavy winter protection in zone 7b. Especially in areas with wet, cold winters. I’m in zone 8b and still have issues with spear pulls. Mostly from prolonged wet, cold conditions. They handle dry cold much better if freezes are brief.

Are these Cold Hardy? We live in 7b Long Island.
