Just some facts about the astro members. Mj One of his dreams was to be in a musical and he has finally achieved it. This was his first musical. He and the other Jamies actually went on a show called immortal song to perform and actually won and got a standing ovation. He also listed one of his talents as rapping. Specifically rapping things from a receipt. He recently became an mc. Jinjin He can actually sing really well. He just likes to play around and pretend that he can't. I vaguely remember sanha saying something about jinjin being in a better vocal class than him when they were trainees. He also got a scholarship with his dancing because he was the top of his year. Not to mention the fact that he can also play the drums and do beat boxing. He's now a host on a podcast with Pentagon's kino. Eunwoo He's an actor who has won many awards. He was the captain of the basketball and soccer team. He's a model. He also participated im a reality show about basketball. He mostly plays the piano but apparently he also plays the guitar, the flute, the violin, etc. Moonbin He practiced rapping a lot when he was a trainee. He also got the lead role in a web drama. He's a mc on show champion with sanha. He was a child model and was also in the drama boys over flowers. Being in an mv as a kid inspired him to become an idol. He's also very athletic. Ex isac. Rocky Most people already know him for his rapping, singing and dancing skills but he can also cook really well. Fun fact, he wasn't allowed to post a Bruno Mars cover because soundcloud thought he was actually Bruno Mars. He came in second in dance war because of a fan vote during the last round. He came last in hit the stage. That was when astro were still rookies. His dance was based on the movie the mask. He was also the youngest participant there. He's now an mc too. He started choreographing for seniors when he was 12. He started dancing when he was 5 and is trained in ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap dance etc. He has a black belt in taekwondo and was actually on korea's got talent. Sanha He's a very underrated dancer. He's the tallest so he has to work harder to blend in with the other members. He's also very flexible. He can do a full split while jumping. Sanha also has a black belt in taekwondo. He learnt how to play the guitar by himself in just 8 months. He also got a role in a drama. Sanha was also on masked singer like mj. Astro made their debut in a drama so all of them can act. They're from an acting company after all. They've also done stages where they switched their roles so the rapline were singing and the vocal line were rapping. Not to mention the fact that they also really like harmonising. Jinjin, Eunwoo and sanha were all presidents when they were in school. Their variety shows are really funny so I'd recommend watching them. The common videos people seem to recommend are the immigration, their pool party video and the cicada video. Haven't seen many people react to their acrobatics performance so I'd recommend that. They won the gold medal twice in a row ( the event was only available for 2 years) The 2nd time, they set a record so high that the judges were doubtful anyone would even break it. The next year the aerobics event was cancelled. Because of their performance, astro was nicknamed the first aerobics boy group. They've won a medal for every event they took part in so they're really athletic lol. The ssireum event was really funny too. I'd also recommend watching them playing the cleopatra game. I haven't seen many people react to that. If you're looking for ballads to listen to, bloom, because it's you, innocent love and you're my world are really good. Bloom was composed by mj and jinjin. If you're interested in acoustic, the acoustic version of run and morning call is really good. If it's a sort of musical style thing you're looking for, you can watch their performance of beautiful lady on immortal songs 2.
thankyou for the reaction! yes this is his first musical and he's very nervous about it. i wish there's clip from jack the ripper musical where he played as daniel. he's gotten a lot more comfortable and his acting is phenomenal
I get teary watching MJ as Jamie. Back then, he wished to do musical theater someday and 2020 was a big year for him. He was able to do exactly that so this was his first go in a musical. He told the members to not attend the 1st show because he would be too nervous already but there is an Astro Play vid of them going to watch him. They were so proud 🥲 Here it is, if you want to watch it on your own:) ruclips.net/video/oZPMeBUOG5Q/видео.html Thank you so much for giving your insight to this. I appreciate it coming from someone with a musical theater background
Thank you for reacting to MJamie! I really love Jamie too 🥺 A lot of Arohas watched the english version when it was announced that MJ’s going to portray Jamie in a musical. I love the whole story so much, The Wall In My Head was my favorite song and I cry sometimes too whenever I hear it. It’s really beautiful 💙💙💙💙
Thank you for reacting!! This was so interesting~ i love everybody's talking about jamie and i was ecstatic when the korean version with a cast as great as them was announced! I always thought the hands to his body were a acting choice of feeling insecure but controlling his breathing makes so much more sense! I remember how nervous mj was performing a musical for the first time, he even asked his members to not come to his first few shows bc he was so nervous. And from what I've heard he got more confident as he performed it more often! He is so talented and i am so proud of him for auditioning for jamie~ if you are interested, there is a show called immortal songs 2 and three of the jamies and the cast of the students covered a song called twist king on there! It's such a fun performance and they won that episode~ (idk if you can react to it though bc it might get bocked)
I know that rocky did billy eliot when he was a kid but i don't think that we have videos sadly. But yeas, they're all threads to my life, MJ also had a trot proyect, trot is a korean genre, he did it all at the same time: astro concert, trot proyect (called superfive), varity show & Jamie. This man's energy is out of this world.
The Korean word for heart and mind is actually the same (one of them - there’s more than one word for heart in Korean), so the translation for heart makes sense, and the subtitler might have just been confused not knowing the English title of the song. Thank you for reacting to this! I was really excited to see your perspective on his performance for this. He and the other Jamies also performed on Yu Huiyeol’s sketchbook. :)
Seeing mj as Jamie also made me cry! He is such an inspiration🥺 You should check out this one!! ruclips.net/video/85_FhpAcMUg/видео.html it’s with the other Jamies they are all great🥰 Also MJ is my bias thank you for reacting to this❤️❤️
oh lol i thought his hands were just showing insecurity and on purpose hahahaa but it does make more sense the way u explained it im so glad the musical actually got celebrities going to watch it for their friends and ended up loving it. one korean comedian even made a post on instagram talking about how it made him cry and it inspired him to raise his son to be whoever he wants to be
i remember commenting abt this in your other reaction .i am glad to see you do his reaction..and yes the boys are very talented in every aspect ❤ thank you for this reaction
Thank you for your honest observations from a fellow theatre lover!! & just a reminder that Astro’s comeback is on April 5th if you didn’t already know, looking forward to your reaction :)
Hello :) Please kindly react to the following songs Mj- Don’t do it and Thorn Cha Eun-woo- Rainbow Falling and Please Remember Moon bin- 24hiurs Jinjin- Mad Max Rocky- My Style and Holly Santa- Every Day I hope it’s not too much Thank you very much Be blessed
They may be expressing his insecurity but it's more the tops of his arms are like they're stuck to his body, it's a thing I've seen, and probably done myself, when an actor is nervous. I'm not saying anything is wrong with him doing that it's a thing I've seen 100 times, it's just not a very realistic and natural thing for a human to do.
