This is a really good review Karl, very comprehensive. I have to explore some of those features you mentioned some more and use them in my routine. Thanks for teaching an old dog some new tricks.
At the time of filming it was pretty good- as you can see in my bit of the video comparing to the Beatport top 20. For consistency in dance music I do think zip DJ is unbeatable though. I have made videos on them too!
It's a decent recordpool, but my experience with it is that browsing and finding tracks is a bit of a nightmare, and the overall browsing experience isn't the best. Every time I tried to pre-listen to tracks before downloading, the site would go wonky after the 5th or so track. This was on a MacBook using Safari. As far as the database goes, it's nice for remixes and edits, but lacking in original tracks especially if you're into old school hip hop like me.
Pools generally aren’t as good for old school tracks as they are limited as per the record labels. BPM supreme is a bit better for older tracks- have a look!
@@djkarlthomas Agree, It’s better than paying 1,25$ for mp3 (320kbps) and 1,75$ for WAV on Beatport, but still it’s not cheap. We’re coming to the age of pirates, supported by people.
Heavy Hits steals all their music from producers and posts it on their for profit site without permission. Give your money to companies that ethically source their music.
Thanks for the great review Karl! Hope my edits are getting some spins in your sets ha :D
Haha they certainly will! Thanks for watching mate
I’ve been rockin’ with “Heavy Hits” for years. One of the best Record Pools to date!!

Was using Digital DJ Pool and think I’m going to give Heavy Hits a shot since their interface/search is a lot better
Absolutely and the first month is such a low price! Nothing to lose!

I went over 48 hours after i make a profil there... And they still not accept my profil. You have a idea how to do?
@Karl thomas i'm a active DJ. And i play in two clubs. I link my facebook profile and my soundcloud and that stil not enough
What type of documentation do they require at signup?
Just links to your socials.
My mp3 pool how to make account plz?
Awesome Video , I will check them out
Nice one mate and thank you for the kind words
Does it work with djay pro?
You are essentially just downloading music from this site so if djay pro supports your own downloads you will be fine

It’s runs way better on google chrome I don’t use safari for hardly nothing most record pools and Dj stuff seem to run better on chrome!
Dope
Me Gusta
It's a good site. Only problem is it's slow af.
I haven’t found it to be too bad. Franchise which I reviewed most recently is worse!
25$ per month (every month) is too damn expensive! The economical crysis says "everybody look down, it's all in your mind"...
For unlimited downloads it’s really good value in my opinion. When I started djing you had to buy vinyl which was $7 per record if not more….

I didn’t really like it personally
Each to their own I guess.

Do you have any evidence to back up this statement?
