In real life, alesis have more bass and in the back have a bass boost, the treble is clean, I prefer the alesis, 3:03 and 9:04 the Mackie have too much treble, alesis equilibrate the voice and bass better. Also, the alesis price is lower. If the alesis elevate 5 are good, the elevate 6?🤔🙄😊
the kick and bass of the mackie invade the mix together with a strange white noise, the alesis sounds flatter and the mix is very good. the alesis are better I did not expect this result
The mackie are too bright in the high mid and high range and thin in the bass and low mid for me. I'll pick alesis. I prefer a flatter sound for mixing.
The difference is huge at 2:16. I don't want my guitar to sound like I'm listening to it from the backstage area. Mackie wins on my opinion. Thanks for the video!
I do find a lot of hiss on the Mackies, i had to return them and bought the MR524 because i tested them in a music store and sounded better than the presonus eris e5 and the cost is so much better.
Hi there. Thank you for these reviews. Been checking them out since I'm planning on a small home recording studio, but I have not yet decided on which speakers to get..I'm trying to get the best sound possible, especially for mixing vocals and with my senheiser headphones, I can already hear the difference between these speakers. Before I saw your videos, I had the Alesis in mind though, since I found a pair for a good price, but luckily this review has now made me think twice. Thank you.
@@DSAUDIOreview thank you for the reply. I have about $300 to spend on monitors..I have a average small rectangular room for recording, so I'm looking at getting 5 to 6 inch speakers.
Mackie MR524 gets my recommendation, unless You can get JBL LSR305 for significantly less than MR524. If JBL is much cheaper than go for it, if they are more or less the same than go for Mackie
@dsaudio.review: Do you guys know the difference between Alesis Elevate 5 MK I and MK II? Is the MK I worth considering? Found it used for basicly half the price of new MK II Or would you recommend other monitors in this price range?
Digital Stereophony, a suggestion for a future comparative test: The "Samson's Mediaone M50", they are quite good for the price.
The alesis sounds difrent in real life it sounds a lot more clearer
the mackies sound like the Tin Man's heart. Alesis all day.. just ordered right mow infact

alelis have bass boost on or off???

the mackie don't carry the ring of the cello like the alesis do.

i think its just the sound profile. mackie is v shaped and alesis is flat. if you apply a v shape eq to alesis it should sound the same.
Mackie sounds better, but Alesis not bad at all and is cheaper
Thonet and Vander Kurbis vs Edifier R1800 please...
and
Wharfedale DS-1 vs Edifier R1800...
around the same wattage and price.
Hi could you help me with one thing I'm opening an home studio do you think Mackie CR5 are good for vocals and recordings please reply thanks
Mackie wins !
Has anyone experienced the hiss problem with the Mackies? And is the "sleep" feature on the alesis tolerable?

Hey. Bro, the way you speak.. .. im all about music creativity .. art. Just some simple advice.. KEEP GOOOOOING !!! NEVER STOP!!
how is the sound representation?
the mackies sound boxy. does the alesis have a better soundfield?
Mackie has better soundstage. Alesis is muffled and has rather vaguely defined images, Mackie is sharper in this regard
Yes mackie is definitely the winner
Mackie sound better but there is a peak around 2k i think that makes it sound thin
The Alesis has the most annoying "feature". I goes to sleep and sometimes I wait five minutes for it to wake up. Unusable.
Cr5🥂
Mackie wins but both sound like terrible.. Actually have those Mackies in garage, with perfectly there with BT - phone setup.
