    Another great video thank you.
    I was taught years back by an older very experienced rower, plus later read it in Gordon Hamilton's "Sculling in a Nutshell", to place the blade in the water while still moving forward into the stern. I think it was also mentioned in one of the DecentRowing videos where Lachlan was using the NK Empower Oarlock which showed how the blade continues to move forward towards the bow and get locked in. Gordon Hamilton said this was because of the Bernoulli's Principle (the pressure differential between the convex and concave surface that causes "lift" as occurs with aeroplane wings.).
    It's all matter of fine timing of course, but do you think it is a good idea to gentle ease (and avoid backsplash) the blade into the water while going forward on the slide just before reaching the catch position?
