Someone else will die at the hands of this monster, we'll mourn the poor innocent victim and ask ourselves why this was allowed to happen again to someone else. Mom didn't know where I was and I didn't hear her yell my name. That was the first and only time I was grounded. As a toddler, Mom had to have me on a leash to keep me from wandering off while shopping and often wished aloud that they made leashes for older kids.

True. I'm also a father of a baby girl and I believe animals like this should have been spit-roasted alive over a fire. There is a Sri Lankan Joke about Sri Lankan police busting nuts of criminals. In the international police search and locate competition, a team from the US, Russian, and Sri Lanka came to the final round. The last challenge was to find a rare rabbit in a wooded area and bring it back to the Judges. The US FBI team went first, But just to the edge of the wood..set up some 5th gen Tec stuff..and scanned the entire area, printed a report, and gave it to the Judges and said...No Rabbit in those woods. Next went the Russians...they stormed the woods..couldn't find the damn rabbit, Burned down half of the wood in anger and came back and said..That rabbit didn't want to be arrested. Uris here is sure the fucker ended up regretting it now. No Rabbit is ALIVE NOW in those woods. Then at last the turn for the Sri Lankan police came. They went to their given wooded area. After a couple of hours to everyone's shock...They were seen dragging a Large Bear under cuffs to the Judges. The Panel of Judges thinking that these Third world fools didn't understand "RABBIT" told them in clear English. Look This is a Bear, not a Rabbit. We wanted you to find the Rabbit. But before they could utter a word further...The Sri Lankan police chief nodded to his officers and they Suddenly gave the bear a savage beating...and told him to talk. The bear shouted to the Judges.." SIR....I WILL AGREE TO WHATEVER YOU ALL WANT FROM ME, I WILL SIGN ANYWHERE YOU WANT..IM THE ONLY FUCKIGN RABBIT IN THIS WOODS, Just don't let these dangerous little men beat me anymore...". :P Yeah If this dude was in Sri Lanka. He will get his Balls put on a rock and smashed with another rock...at which point even mutes start singing.

The evidence is enough to keep this monster away from society and lockup for the rest of his life. As stated at the conclusion of the episode, Hughes was convicted of Abduction with Intent to Defile, which is not a capital crime in the state of Virginia. Although the likelihood that Melissa was, in fact, killed is quite high, this cannot be demonstrably proven to be the case, rendering any assertion that ‘her life was taken’ pure speculation.
