AlfaOBD sir. You wont have to mess around with resistors. You can get into your BCM with it and change settings. You can even turn ur TPS indicator off for the mean time with it

It’s easier to just change the entire housing to a LED housing. The stock housing looks plain ugly.

My 3 brake light ain’t working at all it use to work but now it won’t light up at all and I installed the same 921 lights
I ordered theses LEDs for my high mount stop light and also replaced my cargo lamps too, they work very well, and are very bright. The best part....no more messages that I have burnt out bulbs.

Anyone had luck w/these LEDs in a '03/3rd Gen? Also (not hate'n, just say'n)... might help to add a Min/Max year range (or add 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, 4th Gen) to the video title to help reduce confusion re which Year/Gen will/wont work - Appreciate the video/Thumbs Up!

Also when you get this in the mail pop your tail light out. Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure these same bulbs might work in your reverse lights

Just what I wanted to see. I did LED on the cargo lights a while back. With this imma do the brake light. While you had the light out you should have changed the rubber seal if you haven’t already and I missed it. I just did mine. I bought the marine seal at Home Depot. Yeah these Tam trucks are sensitive with the can bus system.
Hey do you know which calipers has the electronic brake on it. My service electronic braking system light comes on but when I turn the engine off it goes away until I drive for a couple of miles and comes back on.

Hey brother love the videos man! I wanted to let you know i actually found a decent 3rd brake light replacement on amazon. Doesn't leak at all, canbus compatible and looks great. I'll try and get the link its like 30 bucks or so. It's smoked as well.

Post up that link looks like some people already want to try it out! Just make sure you seal it really good cause these 3rd brake lights are really prone to leaking even with the stock unit.
Thanks for the video. Did the mod recently, and it works great! Ordered a total of 4 of these to do the cargo lights and 3rd break light. One of them was flickering. Contacted the seller and they sent me an additional set for free. Already had 2 friends love it enough to do it on their trucks as well.

I purchased what look like the same bulb from Amazon, tried them in the third brake light on my 2017 Ram. I received the bulb out message soon after. Left them in the cargo light though, work great there.

Thanks brother appreciate it! Did you try these "Rayhoo" or the "Flashwolves" brand? These two brands are the ones I have found are CANBUS compatible cause these trucks are extremely picky with bulbs.
BoostedMotorsports - The brand name is CICMOD, with CANBUS printed on them, to me they look identical to those. I agree, these trucks are really picky with bulbs!
Good videos brother, just some info, if you use red LEDs it will be brighter. You should always use red led in a red lens.
Good advice Terry! I agree its just hard to find both canbus and red at the same time. I'd rather do that then have to add resistors 😎

The link you put shows a pack of two and you unboxed only one bulb is it still the same one?
I’m reading a lot of warnings about using these bc they are 1000 lumens and are not meant to use for lengthy burning due to getting too hot. That’s why the amazon listing says only use as backup lights (short term usage). Any issue with this on yours?

So the 921 will fit the Reverse lights for a 2018 with regular halogen bulbs right?
Yeah factory standard halogen tail lights use the same bulb for the reverse as the 3rd brake light but double check on phillips bulb guide with the year make and model to be sure

I see you’re not worried about using the same color led as the lens you are putting it into. Red should have a red led. No big deal. Just my 2 cents

I had a 2012 ram 1500 never had problems with hids. and I have a 2018 ram 1500 now and hids won't work they just flicker and don't work have any idea ??
my truck doesn't throw any light codes they just don't wanna work.
Did you use the CANBUS decoders that plug in before plugging into your HID kit? It won't work without using them

2015+ and above need a relay harness I have a 2015 outdoorsmans and had the same issues put a relay harness in and no more flicker no more issues ,just make sure you order the Universal plug harness
