Thank you for showing everything you do. So many people post a 5 minute highlight reel of them editing and expect people to learn from it. Your videos are the best!
I appreciate that! I can 100% relate when I'm trying to learn stuff - There is a BIG difference between editing ONE image and editing a session :) Thanks for the feedback!
I just want to thank you, im in the process of reconecting with my camera and photogaphy I feel like i've never achived the level I want to be at and quit I've been watching your videos and they have really woken up that feeling to be better and not give up, thank you!!!!
I appreciate that you keep it real, helps make it more relatable. Too many videos on youtube are not photographer based but influencer directed. Keep up the good work!
I've been looking for natural editing tutorials, no one edits naturally anymore, to see a correct WB, etc. Everyone uses presets, colorful pictures. The truth is that sometimes it is difficult to take a good natural picture, throwing a preset is much simpler. I don't know what is happening with this world, we distort the colors in the last step. You no longer know what color the sky was that day, what color your clothes, skin, etc. were. Bravo, you showed us a great tutorial on how to click on the preset and make a small crop on the picture, we are much more advanced now.
100% agree. I was beginning to think I was the odd one out with my opinion not to use pre sets. I feel presets have become the sunbed or spray tan of the wedding industry. So many photographers are overdoing the presets and colour grading. I say to my couples, 'You choose your wedding colours and the flowers, why would you want them all changed in your photos?' They may look okay now in 2024, but how are they going to look in 10 years time. Who has an avocado colour bathroom these days? Highlights, Shadows, Exposure and that's all.
Anyone else come here for the in-depth editing but stayed for the ASMR experience? Ryan, if you ever quit your day job you could easily start a new type of RUclips channel.
I love all of these videos you've done, I think I've watched all of your old ones haha. Helped me so much when I first started out! So thanks again for your continuous transparency and helping all us creatives!
Thank you for this great vid! You were talking about you flash setup in the room. It would be great if you would make another vid showing what flashes were used (or what flashes you now use) and how you set them up. You said that they were pointing towards the ceiling. It seemed though as if they were pointing towards the couple. Did you change the setup of the flashes later on?
At 34:35 the problem was that you crushed the whites with your point curve. So the highlights in the bow tie didn't show as clipping since the highlights weren't pure white anymore.
Hello! Nice channel. I want to try your presets and donwloaded free samples. But when I import them I can't se SE Minimal preset. But when I try to import it again it says that it is imported. Forest green works verry nice and I like it.
Hello I noticed it appears you are free lancing the crop ratio. Can you help me understand how this comes into play with clients wanting to print their images? I usually crop at 4:3 aspect ratio.
How do you like the 24-105 over the 24-70 for weddings? Is it mainly because of the extra reach you can get with it? Mainly asking because I shoot with a 24-70 ii f2.8 and have been eyeing the 24-105. Curious on your thoughts!
Honestly for me I would rather use a prime lens any day of the week. Especially for the price of the 24-70ii or 24-105… But if the question is which I’d choose… Prob the 24-70 these days. Or better yet the 28-70 f2.0. The extra bokeh you REALLY feel vs the f4 24-105, and the old advantage of being able to get closer no longer matters as much with higher MP letting you crop in.
You also explained numerous times, that the eyes naturally are drawn out to the most bright point of the pictures. I was suprised that on these pictures that included some of the flashes in the background that you neither cropped them out nor did you edit them out or at least made them darker? Is it because this would be too time consuming? Or the results of doing that would be not satisfying? I would love if you could elaborate on that
Great feedback! Next time I'll show more of the culling. For me it's very, very basic... I just go through all the photos and any keepers I rate as a "1"... Any non keepers I don't rate at all. Then I go through a 2nd time and cull out any duplicates / overly repetitive photos from my first batch of keepers, and I'm done!
Interesting! I'm zooming all the way in and don't see any noise at all! But maybe I'm missing something - I certainly don't get it right every time :) Thanks for the feedback!

Any videos about the Classic and Clean Version 2 yet?
Hey Mark! This one is using C&C V2!
@marksutton let me know what kind of video you'd like to see!
@@SignatureEdits I really love to watch the editing videos. Really helpful to me. What I've watched so far has made me reevaluate the way I edit!

I cannot see the preset listed in the radial gradiet module IN MY LIGHTROOM at 12:20. WHY IS THAT SO?
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

i need your this thumbnail raw phots
Nice video, with which camera was the photos taken?
Thanks! This one was Canon 5D Mark III's - Classics at this point haha
nice video though I wish you would have spent more time on how you cull directly in LRC, what type of thumbnails you create etc.

I do not understand why they were not centered between the trees?
lost in the moment, in a rush, didn’t notice at the time… i can’t remember!
Did you not say, that you would edit these pictures in 2 "stages". I was skipping this vid a bit. Did I miss the 2nd run?
Sorry, but that huh not good pictures 1:21:10. What were your thoughts on the tree on the right? Very much noise
Interesting! I'm zooming all the way in and don't see any noise at all! But maybe I'm missing something - I certainly don't get it right every time :) Thanks for the feedback!
Honestly, some of you don't even do WB correctly, I think you don't know how to do it anymore, to remove pure white and real colors
