My father passed last month. This song played at his funeral. He was a firefighter for 22 years. My father was also a paramedic. He had a fire service funeral. He was the best dad I could have ever asked for. Please pray for a hero who has saved so many life's through his career .

I am a full time hospice nurse and when a patient who has died exits the hospice, we have a “walk out” . The family follows their loved one out to the hearse and the staff follow the family. The family will often choose a song to play as their loved one exits the hospice. If the family can’t think of one, or if the deceased has no family present; I will choose this song. It is so beautiful ♥️

My mom worked hospice for a while and while it was hard at times it was a job she took pride in. Enusuing that someone's final days on earth are ones of dignity and comfort is one of the most noble tasks one can undertake in my view.

I sang this to my grandmother in her hospital bed. She passed away with her hand in mine once I was done singing to her. She had 14 children and fought Alzheimer’s for over ten years. I hope I end up being half the woman she was.

It really is amazing grace that found a wretch like me, I used to live a very sinful double life, 4th of July '19 I was driving up to the mountain near my house to spend that one morning with God but God didn't want that just that one morning with me, he wants me to ge in the gates of heaven withhom, by the amazing grace, I fell asleep behind the wheel, drove off the road into a tree, I spent 7 months in the ICU on the line of life or death, the doctors kept telling my family that if I ever come back to myself, I won't recognize anyone nor remember anything, by the grace of God I came back to myself, recognize everyone and my memory has retured back to me! Truly is the amazing grace that saved a wretch like me! All honor and glory to the one who deserves it!

I was in a terrible car accident on Christmas Eve… broke both shoulders, 12 ribs, my sternum both legs, some fractures in my foot and a concussion. But I’m doing better and all I can say is I’m so thankful the lord was watching over me and thankful to still be here! 😢 Thank You Jesus! Long road to recovery but so thankful to still be in this world I’ll be going to church to lift my spirits while recovering praise the Lord!❤❤

Hi everyone , to all people , please take a couple minutes out of your day to take in this song to your heart and just know our LORD is here for all of us 24/7 ,,,,, but are you there for him ???? Not just when trouble comes but all the time ???? Speaking from experience I was a TRUE BAD BOY , something had to change and change immediately !!!!!! My precious beautiful grandmother passed away May '12. 90 years old, 14 kids & an amazing life. Just minutes before she went home, my uncle started playing something on her baby grand piano. Several of us family were all around her bed .... almost unanimous we all started bawling. Every time I hear this version by Alan Jackson, my mind goes back to that evening & the tears start flowing again.

I just recently lost my elderly Pitbull Roxy:-( she meant so much to me because I am old and elderly and weak and she comforted me and I believe there is a place for her in heaven. While I just am in shock knowing it was time for her to go because of her suffering and the kindness of my son who took her to the vet one last time.. Currently learning this piece on piano ❤ I work in a healthcare facility with dementia patients and I absolutely love playing music for them! I'm a multi instrumentalist and actually came back to work after I got off and played a full concert with an acoustic guitar and a Bluetooth speaker last night! I brought my bass clarinet in a couple weeks ago and played one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It's called "As Summer Was Just Beginning" and it was written as a tribute to James Dean after he passed away. I also played Dropkick Murphys too😂 "this next song is a Celtic tune..." 🤣

Yes Rhonda, we Christians all need "a little more forgiveness" - I pray daily for God to make me aware of my sins so that I can - not beg Him for forgiveness, because that has already been granted through Christ's sacrifice, but to - AGREE with God and let Him know that I am aware of my weaknesses. Then I have to daily consciously suppress my "self-will" so that He can fill me with His Holy Spirit in order to overcome those weaknesses - with me fully leaning on His strength! i thank god for country music. this is the only genre where music this beautiful is sung publicly. i can't think of any other place where these songs could be sung and accepted by the audience.
