Love your humility... your work is inspirational and I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and life experiences... I am a strong believer in synchronicity I listening to you is giving me a very large peice of the jigsaw of my artistic growth. Not only mirroring how I feel but also expressing some very profound answers I been searching for... Thank you so much!.... Dave Porter
Hello again! Just wanted to say I am subscribed, and I appreciate the continuation of your last video. I think the last one left us feeling a little bit defeated, but it did serve its purpose. It actually prompted me to speak to one of my professors about what she would be doing if she wasn't teaching, and she mentioned a few of the same things. I think you make a few really good points in this video. My success as an artist is going to depend on my ability to master what I think I already know, and adapt to different mediums that might increase job opportunities. Thanks again for a solid video:)
spot on. People shouldn't think of fine art skills as just one particular skill but a more fundamental skill that be translated to many other fields relatively quickly. And you can still make fine art in the mean time. cheers.
I feel like you teaching your skills for free and then doing more in detail videos at Patreon will take you to the next level. I mean look at Kirsty Partridge. Her videos are so helpful. Your work is magnificent without a doubt.
Brother, your respect for female beauty is represented in your style and choices of subjects!! God Bless you bro, you have a special gift and I appreciate your words and lessons. Godspeed
Hey I really learnt a lot watching your videos. I want to ask you.. Can you teach how to draw the fold and wrinkles of the shirt or clothes on a person while drawing a portrait. I am aware that it is all lights and Shadows, but just a glimpse on how to do would be really appreciated
This comment video are really helpful mate, specially fine art is what I hunt (on digital). You gave me some hope with IA and handmade, peace and keep your amazing work!
most ppl i would agree. but vast number of people and especially those with disposable income generally also buy art related work. Of course u can't compare it to shoes or even ppl buy coffee everyday, but it's very significant.
thanks for this second follow up video X, these videos are really insightful for us. I know we have already talked about this, but how do you think that having a RUclips channel may help in targeting more audience.
very essential, youtube and netflix makes up 50% of all traffic online and youtube is currently growing at about 30 to 40% per year still. You need to have a channel on youtube or you are giving up a huge potential opportunity. (and it's free)
Hi Gillina, charcoal, especially when spray-coated with protection, is basically forever lasting. (assuming no physical harm of course, but there is no chemical process like drying/shrinking and oxidation that can happen with oil panting) I personally have drawings I did 10 years ago that looks the same today.
I would like to ask, when you open up your own website. I was thinking of opening one up on Art Finder, or is it best to open one up not attached to anything. Hope you understand what I'm asking. Thank you for these type of videos. 😊
very interesting question ( I understand ) . My immediately solution is.. why not have both?! You get to then compare and see which is gets more traction / benefit and double down on the one that works. As a side note the one standalone is harder to grab traffic but you keep everything obviously so it's not a bad one to have long term. I dunno what the commission is on this site (I know it has that or ad related factor), but I also understand it has its own traffic source already. I say have same content on both site (if money isn't a huge issue) and don't promote your own site on sites like Art Finder (they don't like that, they like everything to go through them) . And at the end of the day it's kinda like an A/B test.
I mean right now, these videos, these tips, these advices, are really really worth it... Like you give these for free, it's amazing. THANK YOU

Wonderful! Thank you!
I think people prefer to buy a branded shoe rather than a painting

Another masterpiece. Have you ever illustrated books or comics?
covers yes, single illustration here and there, yeah. But no full whole book illustration or comics.

Is Charcoal archival/lightfast?

sorry for asking, but what is a fine art artist?
I explained in the video, if it's unclear let me know and I'll clarify it further. thanks Ravn.
