The way you describe the story with the bunny reminded me of the short story collection called Cursed Bunny, one of the story in the collection started with there's a head in the toilet, or something like that lol. Both of the books sound fascinating! Loved this comparison/review!

I'm going to look up Cursed Bunny! I have a fried who is always telling me that horror writers are weird, and they are which makes their writing so interesting or at least memorable 😅

Was so interesting to hear your thoughts on these short story collections! I loved tender is the flesh and really want to read bazterrica's short story collection. I actually have it on my shelf waiting for me now. And one day I want to try something by Mariana Enriquez as well. I do need some of that social commentary in my life.

Things We Lost in the Fire is a great place to start with Mariana Enriquez when you are ready 😊

I'm halfway through the book and struggling SO MUCH, I feel like I'm only finishing it because it's short 😭 I loved Tender is the Flesh so much, I wanted something different for this book

I hate when that happens! But don't force yourself to finish it. There are too many other book you will enjoy to force yourself to finish one you are struggling with. It's actually rare that short stories work for me so I usually just stay away from the. These worked for me but they are definitely different that Tender is the Flesh which was exquisite.
