It's so foreign in western countries because the entire lingual foundation is from a different branch of humanity, so it's not common for people to learn it.
Chinese people are very fond with their culture. For a foreigner to be interested in their culture and to ACTUALLY speak mandarin or cantonese is always surprising for them. You can't imagine the amount of respect they have for those guys.

14:41 Moses addressed a strong point here. It's actually annoying seeing posts all over the language community saying that "he'S a FaKe, hEs NoT good At ManY langages, OnLy few, VerY rePetitive". Then again, like what he said; So what? His goal is *to connect with people all over the world with different cultures*. It's true that it's indeed nifty to become proficient and fluent in a number of languages but Moses has a differing, wholesome goal. It's also a thing that he enjoys, let the fella do his thing.
Its impressive to learn so many languages even if it is the same phrases. "Moreover" he is a clear example that anyone can learn many languages if they study hard enough.
Moreover learning a language is like playing GTA. You can follow the story line and complete it but that completion wont give you as lasting entertainment as the freeroam feature will. I dont want to be a master of any language, i want to build as many bridges as possible, to connect with my community. There are 320,000~ people in my city and less than 50% are white. Learning only a second or third language to fluency wont benefit me enough as learning communicable degrees of various dialects and sub languages.
It's also very difficult to be fluent in all those languages, Moses has a good enough understanding to converse with people without getting stuck, that's more than I can say for his haters, who probably speak 2 or 3 languages at most
I concur! Most of the people he meets, it's only for one time - so just being able to connect for a short time is awesome! If I ever met him & he spoke to me in my other language, I wouldn't have a problem with him not being proficient!
It's not that hard. When they say "English is the most difficult language" they aren't kidding. If you can speak English, other languages can be learned quite easily. First thing I do is to learn all of the BAD words so I know not what to say. Then learn the basic conjunctures followed by verbs and nouns. Native speakers can unusually fill in the rest for you and correct you from there.
@@mandykarevicius9746 What do you mean? Who ever said "English is the most difficult language"? Polish, Finnish, Greek, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese (either Mandarin or Cantonese) are all way harder than English. Not to mention the exposure to English through media (movies, music etc.) which makes it much easier to learn and speak..

@Pyro The Maniac well, i have to admit. your comment is quite accurate
Chinese people are very fond with their culture. For a foreigner to be interested in their culture and to ACTUALLY speak mandarin or cantonese is always surprising for them. You can't imagine the amount of respect they have for those guys.

I can only imagine his brain just firing off a shit ton of neurons learning all of these languages AND dialects. Truly amazing.
If you watch older video's you can also see he improved a lot so yeah it's a bullshit argument
RIP Moses. Your ability to make complete strangers feel at home in a foreign land is amazing. You're an inspiration to all and that'll never change!!!

So sad, that Moses died 6 days ago.
This guy is motivating me too learn different languages
Vos podes, maestro
It's not that hard. When they say "English is the most difficult language" they aren't kidding. If you can speak English, other languages can be learned quite easily. First thing I do is to learn all of the BAD words so I know not what to say. Then learn the basic conjunctures followed by verbs and nouns. Native speakers can unusually fill in the rest for you and correct you from there.
@@mandykarevicius9746 my kind of approach
@@mandykarevicius9746 What do you mean? Who ever said "English is the most difficult language"? Polish, Finnish, Greek, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese (either Mandarin or Cantonese) are all way harder than English.
