  • The most produced multi-engine aircraft of all time has very few survivors. A few of those that did pass the test of time have an interesting story having flown for the Allies in WWII and then the Indian Air Force until the late 1960s. The B-24 Liberator at Pima Air & Space Museum has two paint schemes for this reason. Here's that story.

    I spent a lot of weekends in this bird with a gentleman named Warren Fink.
    We did a lot of cleaning inside this bird when it was Shoot Your Covered as it was in your picture of it backed up to the hanger.
    Man those were some good old days for sure.
    I moved to Ohio in 2000 and always wondered why there was a name change from the Shoot Your Covered scheme.
