I was going to settle down with a Deco 03 but the Pro model does look a little bit nicer. I'm moving from a One by Wacom S so this feels like kind of a big leap for me. Order has already been placed and i'm so excited. This video definitely helped me decide.

If I were to get a tablet that doesn't have a screen I think I'd get a Deco 03, mainly because of its beautiful look, but also because it's small enough to fit on my cluttered desk without being too small, and because it's cheaper than the Deco Pro.

tilt has never bothered me i have always worked fine with out it, and this video is very old so this was before the V2 came out before they added tilt on most their pens.

But also if your coming from a 2k pressure tablet to an 8k one there is gunna definately be a difference. When i first got the deco I had to adjust the pressure because I was so used to my older 2k tablets or display tablets and not need as much pressure but bring in 8k and really caught me off guard.
Was just about to buy the XPPen Deco Pro but after watching this i'm now having 2nd thoughts, the deco pro not having the X3 smart chip😫 is the delay that noticeable?

Also, I like to have 60 degrees Tilt! So I want to know the defense of fast drawing in these two tablets is noticeable or not? Deco PRO ($127): RPS (200) Tilt (60°) Deco 03 ($74): RPS (266) Tilt (non) So if RPS between them is not noticeable I want to buy Deco pro because it has a 60° Tilt also a bigger area. But if it's noticeable and it's gonna be a problem in the fast drawing I will buy Deco 03 because RPS is more important to me. I'll wait for your response. Thank you❤

yea it will work fine, it just really comes down to what you like to use. I have been able to use it professionally. so yea will work fine for teaching.

If your budget doesn't allow you to buy wacom then yes but I would look at my most recent review. About a tablet from xencelabs it cost a bit more then this but still less then wacom and blows these tablets out of the water.

Great vid man, wanted to ask if the scroll thing circle on the deco pro acts like a touchpad or is it like just a normal scroll wheel? Does it have clicks or anything useful to go for it.
I experienced a tremendous amount of lag with the Deco 03 while using Zbrush. It also had a text box when key pressing and using the pen. Did you have any issues like this with your Deco?
as far as lag while wireless, no. I did loose connection but that was when the battery was extremely low on power. as far as text box is it when you hold shift? because if so when the text box comes up then you can change that in the windows settings. but that is a windows issue not a tablet issue.
@@aefoundry The lag was from being wired. I didn't try the wireless. I noticed that when I pushed shift, control, alt and right click on the pen it would appear as a text box on the screen. No other tablet has ever done this. I use Wacom, Huion and XP Pen various models and only the XP seems to trigger a text dialog on screen while working. It also seemed to slow the navigation down while working. The lag was when trying to move around the model, snapping and mostly interrupted smooth movement within the canvas. Also it would not register double tapping for the ZBrush menus.
I am thinking about getting one of these. However, I have a wide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio). My understanding is that these tablets are set for a regular 1920x1080 ratio. Does anyone know how that will work? Will it only work on a section of my screen, or is there a way to make it work on all of it?
I used to use the deco 03 on my wide screen when I still had one. You can map it out to the section or it will cover the whole screen as well. At least from what I remember.

I have a quaestion . Why would you buy deco 03 without tilt option on your pen when you can buy deco 01 v2 with pen tilt and for less money ?

I prefer the pro if you not going to be moving your tablet from your workstation. and drawing with the pro pen feels a bit better in my opinion.

it should, the pen pressure can be adjusted to your need. when I was still running on windows I used to adjusted for my sculpting needs.

I'm sorry I cant help with that one, you would need to talk to xppen directly see if they can swap out your unit if it's still under warranty.
Isn't the wheel a touch on pro? That was my main concern with deco 03 since it is mechanical and would be used a hell lot.

I dont know. Probably feels alot like the deco 3 without the wireless functionality. I've never used the 02 before.
