It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
Confirmed the following for Jax, Fl. In order for you to add any z-wave devices to your pulse account, ADT needs you to upgrade your account to include video capabilities. Yes, there's a one time charge of $54.00. Then they will charge you an additional monthly fee of approx. $10.00 and reset your account to a new contract start date. Then they want to dispatch a tech for an additional fee of $60.00, just to send a tech to verify your ADT approved product is installed properly. For me it was an OC810 exterior camera. I paid the initial requested fees, because there's no way around it, you must have video package enabled on your account, I had a basic monitoring package. So I had the tech install one OC810 exterior camera via my attic. He has to contact ADT to place your account install mode, once he made that call, I can now see the managed device screen everybody has been talking about. So from this point, I can install any z-wave product approved by ADT. Once the tech left, I installed a Schlage dead bolt and 2 additional OC810 cameras myself.
Well I bought new wifi from Metro PCS take it anywhere with me where available and wow the speed. Well with the Windstream which was better than Cox was still unable to keep up all cams. So far other devices are so fast it's so awesome. I wanted to get the cameras hooked up but one, the ones ADT installed are not showing up on the options so I picked what was close. No win. Then it says wait for light to flash white light but only red and green lights. Also to go to wifi says verify it's you and scan code comes up to share and not sure where to go after that.
You'll need to call ADT and have them update your service level if you do not currently have access to "Manage Devices". That's an option only available to accounts with Video and/or Home Automation enabled.
The name of the app on our smart phone is ADT PULSE. The alarm was installed in 2015 & your video was published Feb 2016. My app shows “manage devices” but dn allow access to the list you showed. Wish it did. Suspect adt would have to give us access to what you showed.
What's username and password to login your website? No good time yet. Technician did by himself and learn our security phrase to access our internet and told us not to change th security phrase on router. Otherwise,we have to call him back out to reinstall the video to ADT system again. I never of any technician like him did that to my family like that. I purchased a replacement key fob for my ADT Safewatch Quick Connect Plus. It's the 5843-4ADT but because I don't have the installer code I'm having zero luck programming it. ADT wants to charge over $100 to come out and do it for me. Would you know a way to bypass this? If I were to reset the system? And if I did that would it delete all sensors currently programmed .
How do I add a door sensor. ADT won't help without buying from them and having someone come out to install it. How do I get my install code where I can so myself. I have TS keypad
U would have to go to manage devices to add.... U can call 18002382727 to walk you step by step... TS (total security) system is adt favorite far as adding/ deleting devices, Pulse, changing Master code ect....
John Frandsen no. Ring does not integrate with any security alarm system unfortunately. They have/had a minor integration with Pulse but that was very limited and I think it has run its course.
I added another outdoor pulse camera but it won’t stay connected. I already have a WiFi extender that ADT installed. That my other cameras run off of. Is there a way to tell or make the camera use the WiFi extender?
ADT here in alabama is awful... the technician is an ancient guy who does not have the ability to think out of the box (or maybe even in the box!). Two of my wireless ADT (came with the system) cameras are showing off line AND ADT can't dine the serial (I'd) number on either of them. That's when the tech left. The ADT people in the phone said I have to connect to a LAN line so they can reprogram the cameras. Sooo super frustrating. Definitely don't stand by their products and making the customer do the work stinks. Btw, the music on your video is a bit distracting. I was trying to concentrate on what you were saying, in case there was help in there for me, but had to leave video to stop the strange beat/ryrhym.

can you do a video on how to delete a sensor because I have a faulty one and I have to bypass that zone Everytime I arm. adt says they have to come out to do that for a fee of $100 of course
Making changes to programming are things only a technician can do usually where adding Pulse devices can be done by a user, but give us a call and we will see if we can help you.
Just tried this today(August 5th, 2019) and it only looks for WiFi range extenders. I have the Honeywell thermostat and deadbolt but can’t add them myself
If you do not see manage devices on either the web portal or the app then you might not have the ability to add cameras or automation devices on your ADT Pulse plan
Basically the same process. just click on system, then manage devices, then click on doors/locks and when you are ready put the system into learn mode. For locks you want to have the lock within 5 ft of the pulse gateway for the initial pairing. But once you have the lock ready put the adt system in learn mode from the portal and then there should be a button on the lock to pair it (or you might have to do it from the locks programming menu)
+kris whitt I would assume that you have a service plan that includes video but that does not include automation. You need to call ADT and ask them to upgrade your service to "tier 3" or "automation and video". Once they do that you will be able to see the option to add those things also

You need to have ADT Pulse Tier 2 or Tier 3 (or Video and/or Automation) If you do not already have one of the higher levels of pulse you will not be able to start adding stuff. First call ADT and upgrade your service level.

TheEbonyNightmare you can add video only to control without an adt tech. If you want automation or security devices adt will probably require you to have a tech visit.
ADT has recently released an update to the ADT Control panel that allows the customer to add Z-Wave devices. We're planning on adding a video that shows those steps soon!

This one just shows how to learn it in from the web browser because that is the same for all of them. What kind of camera are you trying to add? Can I update my system whit out paying for service? I'm interested in the Pulse service but if I can't add it shout I buy one like skylink?

You'll need to call ADT and have them update your service level if you do not currently have access to "Manage Devices". That's an option only available to accounts with Video and/or Home Automation enabled.

You must not have video or automation added yet, you need to call ADT and upgrade your service level
Pulse needs to be in install mode for manage devices to be there.

Yes you never could add sensors using Pulse. But you could add more cameras, Wifi Extender, and touchscreen keypad if you wanted.

blkinvestor not really. It is an app to app integration. Not an Adt pulse part that is actually in the ecosystem.
