Great analysis and Bri exudes joy and beauty. (No, no. I’m not thinking Beauty and the Beast 🤣🤣). Seriously though, I’ve gone back through your catalog and I also enjoyed your solo reactions to some hard rock and metal. Excellent reaction to this diss/un-diss. Since the battle, Ren and Dotta have shouted each other out a few times, and Dotta has even re-posted a few Ren posts/videos. Talk about a great turnaround. Dotta's numbers have gone up, as expected, but I actually like some of his songs, like Thank You and another one about toxic relationships, DPML.

Great reaction and thoughts, guys. On Hip-Hop being exclusively Black culture: The main roots are there and always will be, but I grew up on oldschool electro and witnessed how it grew and morphed into early Hip-Hop. From the beginning the scene explored and heavily sampled every cultures music. I think that's why it went so global so quickly. It was new and fresh and seemed like it could go anywhere. And it did. So from conception, Hip-Hop was built on the foundations of what could be described as magpie music, and I mean that in the most positive sense. It explored and had creative fun with all types of music from all cultures. The same can be said for Graffiti art being inspired by historical wall paintings and specific lettering styles from other cultures, and B-Boys taking elements from specific tribal dances and adding their own creative flair to them; and even turntablism (Kool Herc) riffing off the idea of European experimental sound artists that played (no pun) with the idea of manipulating records to create unique and interesting new sounds.
You guys are great. Please check out one of the bands that Ren was in, The Big Push. If you do, check out "I Shot The Sheriff/Road To Zion/Hip Hop". I think you'll LOVE it.

On Hip-Hop being exclusively Black culture: The main roots are there and always will be, but I grew up on oldschool electro and witnessed how it grew and morphed into early Hip-Hop. From the beginning the scene explored and heavily sampled every cultures music. I think that's why it went so global so quickly. It was new and fresh and seemed like it could go anywhere. And it did. So from conception, Hip-Hop was built on the foundations of what could be described as magpie music, and I mean that in the most positive sense. It explored and had creative fun with all types of music from all cultures. The same can be said for Graffiti art being inspired by historical wall paintings and specific lettering styles from other cultures, and B-Boys taking elements from specific tribal dances and adding their own creative flair to them; and even turntablism (Kool Herc) riffing off the idea of European experimental sound artists that played (no pun) with the idea of manipulating records to create unique and interesting new sounds.
