This is the most straight forward, upfront, and honest fishing baits video i have ever seen and really appreciate what you do you really convey a message when you make these videos
This is why i listen to what you have to say bc I KNOW ITS COMING FROM A PRO AND YOU COME ACROSS LIKE A STRAIGHT UP HONEST FISHERMAN..I APPRECIATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE NICK THANK YOU....👍🏻🎣
Great info, Nick. You're one of the most Informative ;) & in depth teachers on RUclips!! I'd love you hit the water w ya & learn a few things. Keep it up, good sir!!
Hey Nick, first time poster here. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to teach us better fishing strategies. I've really learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much man you are the channel I have been looking for, all the other channels don't do it right but you do, I am new to your channel this is the first video I saw but it defiantly not the last. I subbed!
I love this video so much. Yesterday I went out with two buds so I had one of them use a Texas rig on the bottom and the other using a moving bait squarebill. I met in the middle with an underspin. They were eating the squarebill and underspin so I went to the middle of that with a slower moving spinner bait and they used chatterbaits. Ended up doing really good. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us man. Subscribed
Straight up!!! Fishing is always different, and contrary to popular belief, bass move around... alot! They get finniky... alot! There very curious, but very, very smart! If anybody thinks they can go out with 3-4 baits and and think it's gonna be the same every time is mistaken. Bass are very adaptable, and a fisherman or woman has to be versatile!
Chatterbaits and finesse Texas rigs all day. I will use topwater once the water gets warmer. I live way up north so once the ice is off, its already in the 60s at times so the water heats up quick sometimes. When that happens, the fish goes NUTS
Hey Nick. Love your vids. Just out of curiosity. Have you ever made like a flow chart or something for your mindset of what lures to pick for a certain condition? Like, if it's clear and calm, ill pick this, and if that doesnt work, then this, etc. I think some people may find that useful.
wish I could fish wit you for day . love all the info you pass along. hopefully the rain in NC is gone the week so I put my new setup (7ft halo starlite med with a less laser mcs) to use. biggest tip you this round is slow down and fish +1billion for keepn it 10x10
I agree with the bait choice facts you mention. But I think a lot of Posters are appeasing the demand of their viewers for top 5 or top 10 bait recommendations. I don't know where the 5 or the 10 best bait numbers came from but I've been seeing an awful lot of that being requested on RUclips for quite a while. Maybe some commenters just want to take a day box out. I appreciate the way you laid out why you should take something out instead of just what 4 5 or 10. If I only want to take out a small day box I'll go with the information you provided and pick my own 5 or 10 baits. Thanks IF
hey nick first of all very hudge fan and love what you do is there anyway you could do a tutorial on jigs as far as football heads, swim ,skipping and vibrating and to use them thanks alot
Another great video IF. Got a question though. I was at a spot the other day and there were some small bass sitting a couple inches from the top. I threw a wacky rig, some top waters and no bites. Any suggestions?
Awesome video. Fishing has been tough and water is stained from all the runoff and rain that we have had. This gave me some good ideas to try tomorrow so hopefully I can get the fat girls to bite.
Informative fisherman you went over lures, time, rods, but here is the question I know you have in the back of your head when are you going to design a frog? Blade with a frog? Paddle legs? Popping frog? I'm not texting to start controversy with you and brands I'm trying to get an advantage from the years of knowledge you remind me of my grandpa and he was always switching out hooks, welding small wire on lures making them weedless and years later brands came out with grandpa's fish catching inventions.
I hear a lot of people say "when you see fish roaming or on beds do 'this'...". What if you never "see" fish other than the occasional fish you catch or a fish that breaks the surface chasing something?
A friend in the Ottawa, ON area asked for lures which would catch large bass for her 95 year old mother. My easy answer is a 130 Whopper Plopper. If one can cast it, reel, and there are big bass, it is hard to screw up . It may not work every day but considering that I changed her from catching only northern pike with a spoon steady reeling, this is easy.. Well duh.. The rod that I left her years ago is a medium action and the 130 weighs 1 3/8 ounces. I put together a 2# box of lures that her rod would handle on 12# line and now need to impart knowledge of how to fish almost every type technique. from Carolina 10 inch worms to Ned rig Z Man TRDs I rigged a number of worms o ring wacky with hooks and hope that she can learn to slow down. I always caught 4# + bass in her lake plus Kemptville Creek wacky. On the creek I skipped the worms way back under the overhanging tree limbs where no one else reached. Re technique,, I started tying my own flies about 1945. I bought the inventory and equipment of someone who gave up on it as a business.. I made my own bass bugs plus popping bugs for blue gills. The bass bug technique was to cast it out. It was not moved until the ripple ring exceeded 10 ft in radius and then it was slightly twitched as if it may have a little life left. I had bass take them which I could not slow down.. Back then drags were not too good on what I could afford.. It was something to see the water open in like a whirl pool when a big bass simply opener its mouth and everything on the surface rushed in. For years, that was the only way I fished any lure that floated, no matter its type, from Heddon torpedoes, or tail spinners that I made, to floating jerk baits, etc etc.. Bass like lures which mimic expiring bugs and /or bait fish.. They are an easy meal with little effort. If I could impart this knowledge to her, along with hardware, she could catch big bass as they are there within reach of the dock. Unfortunately, at age 88, I have a tremendous thirst for knowledge and can not fathom why others do not have same..
Nice you are to funny, great open crashing on the top 4 baits. LOL that what i did! great Vid. Doing tourneys this year. Only did two last year and stunk it up man. in New England, Rhode Island but still know your tips will work. thanks RJunleashed/videos/youtube.
I'm running the CrestLiner VT17 this season on behalf of Boat Country of Escalon. It's a very comfortable little boat, has a 60HP merc and does about 35mph and can run all day long for about $10 :)

There really isn't enough time in the day to fish. Thanks for sharing your knowledge :)
I know the feeling on those tough days. I love the frog fishing. I would have to be desperate to switch to spin tackle just to get that finesse bite.
Thank you so much man you are the channel I have been looking for, all the other channels don't do it right but you do, I am new to your channel this is the first video I saw but it defiantly not the last. I subbed!
Love the Special Ed intro - Got It Made - talented, and yes you're gifted
Thanks for info bro, the knowledge you kick is definitely appreciated, see ya Saturday homes.
I love this video so much. Yesterday I went out with two buds so I had one of them use a Texas rig on the bottom and the other using a moving bait squarebill. I met in the middle with an underspin. Thanks Ridwaan

"Arrrggh! Yeeah! Yeah! Got you!! Wooooo!!!!" ~ Ike the Informative Fisherman? LOL
Great detailed information, bro. Keep em coming!
lol, I went 5 hours without a bite, I got fired up!

this video seems to come from some frustration, but I'm glad someone made this video.

The "I Got It Made" intro is 🔥🔥🔥
that's a great bunch off info got laid out for us. thanks.
maybe could you do a skipping video and position your boat/cast video ?
Solid info. Great perspective!
What a great video. So informative, he is so right, other videos are garbage compared to this.
Nick really love the info really has helped me out
Nick, love the info. It always annoys me about the top # baits for these very reasons. Thanks for the video. Keep it up!

Nice video! Can you do one on the Jika Rig or the heavy drop shot
I have some power shot clips, check out the delta low tide offshore special. Jika will be this next winter
Thanks for the information dude
Another great video IF. Got a question though. I was at a spot the other day and there were some small bass sitting a couple inches from the top. I threw a wacky rig, some top waters and no bites. Any suggestions?
Those are staging fish, very low odds of catching them. The clue from that is there should be legit pre spawn fish near by willing to eat.
Sick video Nick, thanx for the tips
Thanks brother!
damn, ive been at the delta the past 5 days...wish i'd have picked up that frog. I was really tired of only getting bit on senkos, lol.
Yeah it hasn't been easy, that's for sure!
Awesome video. Fishing has been tough and water is stained from all the runoff and rain that we have had. This gave me some good ideas to try tomorrow so hopefully I can get the fat girls to bite.
Thanks bro, yeah it hasn't been the normal beat down spring
Did you remove the front hook from the lipless before you added the underspin? It was hard to tell from the video.
Thank you very much greatly appreciate it your time make this videos and for sharing your knowledge god bless you
You're welcome Elvis, thank you for watching!

Cool vid.
Yea "toolies" must b a west coast thing cause that's wat we call em in AZ but since I moved to FL I've heard people callin it bullrush
I hear a lot of people say "when you see fish roaming or on beds do 'this'...". What if you never "see" fish other than the occasional fish you catch or a fish that breaks the surface chasing something?
Thanks I.F! 👊
I've been out 7 times this year and have NOT caught a Bass (withalacoothie river, fla)
That's brutal
Same here in NH. I've caught fish pretty much every time I've been out but it's been all pickerel.

Marcos Curiel I was born with essential tremors bro
InformativeFisherman Do you get seizures?
Marcos Curiel no, thank goodness
To me this video was just talking about other RUclipsrs who make videos about their favorite top 5 baits and how you don't like it when they do that.
*hunger strike*
Eddie Vedder approves
most of this applies to delta delta delta
You fish the conditions. Every day and Lake is different.

I know you have a good bass boat but I don't hear to much about it
I'm running the CrestLiner VT17 this season on behalf of Boat Country of Escalon. It's a very comfortable little boat, has a 60HP merc and does about 35mph and can run all day long for about $10 :)
