There's a pokemon manga that's close to this. In there people acquire abilities of Pokemon and use it to fight others with or without those abilities. Not typical Pokemon fights.

This has almost nothing to do with the video, but I once had an idea for a Pokemon/DBZ crossover story of sorts that I would've called Poke Ball Z. Would've taken place in a world inhabited entirely by Pokemon, but with various elements taken from DBZ such as how fighting plays out, the ridiculous power levels of stronger characters, evolutions acting more like DBZ-style transformation (this was before Mega Evolutions existed), and legends of Pokeballs that are scattered across the globe which all contain a Jirachi that'll grant anybody a single wish, with the wish-granting powers of these Jirachi varying based on what type of ball they inhabit. Of course, I'm sure nobody gives a damn. Was just reminded of it by the video title.
Awesome animation! , now I want to see Goh fighting face to face with Frieza in journeys, he being able to fire hyperbeam from his pluck of hair, doing pyroball, bulk up and use the move cuteface , to cute strike the enemy, if succesfull oponent is now cutestruck and cant move 😃 (the close up shot after he showed a tailow to ash, in the 1st Hodge eppisode is what I call cuteface, )
As cool as this may be, your stopmotions feel a lot stiffer and less interesting than they used to imo. Not just this one but all of them starting soon after Trunks Vs Piccolo

To be honest, this is just another way of showing how hard it can be to catch legendary Pokémon. Could you imagine if Red didn't save?!!!!
