I like the idea of using tinned potatoes but as they are bland, I think I would 'smash' them before adding seasonings and herbs but not smash them as in mashing them, just to crack them open and flat so the seasoning gets inside if that makes sense...anyhow I am going to try this. Thanks again Kerry!

Just a tip when I make these I always add sprinkle of paprika and toss and with a little dry parsley when it finished paprika is a little flavor and mix the color more appealing after all all your big restaurants that have buffets this is exactly what they use canned potatoes for oven roasted potatoes

I've used tinned potatoes for years, but only as a stop gap when I haven't got fresh potatoes. I've roasted them in the main oven, but it takes quite a time and with electricity prices now already high and due to go up after April the air fryer comes to the rescue again.

As well as drying these thoroughly i first dehydrate at 60 for 10 minutes which dries the water content . Rosemary, olive oil and salt., preheat then airfry for 15-20 mins at 200. The flavour very much depends on the quality of the potatoes too.

I’d love to win Cosori. Those tin pots are already cooked. Just need warming up. Usually do for emergency meal. Tin corned beef. Tin beans..and tin potatoes. Beans and potatoes blasted in microwave . Yum

Hi Kerry, I don’t have an air fryer but have the ninja foodi, I do frozen chips in it using the air crisp function, I dare say I could do fresh chips in it as well, it usually takes half the cooking time for frozen chips, around 15 mins. If I was to do Maris Pipers I would do the same as the canned ones and just keep sneaking a peek until the were done. Put my name down for the air fryer please. Cheers

Thank you Julia💕I know! So close.. you have to go large with the seasoning on these as very bland, but seem good as cheap emergency in the cupboard potatoes. Added to the draw😃👌💕

I have been using tinned potatoes for several years. I dare not cook them in the microwave or pan fry them for fear of them exploding. I have a Cosori dual element air fryer, but still I don't feel confident to cook tinned potatoes in it, because if they explode! I have a terrible job of cleaning the air fryer.
