You don't happen to know what choir sample Queen and Pet Shop Boys used for "I'm Going Slightly Mad" (1991) and "The Theatre" (1993)? I see people on PSB forums speculating that Pet Shop Boys just sampled the Queen song, but since it's obviously samples in that song too, I find it more likely that both used something they found in a sample library. In Queen's I'm Going Slightly Mad it's the foundation for the song, used throughout, in Pet Shop Boys The Theatre it starts playing 53 seconds in.
I think it might be a Korg M1.... at least it sounds like it at the start. Patch 00 called "Universe" has a choir with light rattle percussion sounds over it. That has been used in many tracks and its very iconic. Patch 03 is called "Ooh-Ahh" again choir sound Patch 23 is simply called "Choir" Try these - hope they help
