There was only one developer on the 3DO, given only 10 weeks to port the whole thing by herself, and the moron boss who tasked her with doing it and thought you could just copy-paste the files to a disk and it'd run on a 3DO was the guy who did the music. Absolute moron, but great at making a soundtrack.
Nah, They tried to port the whole thing over in just 10 weeks. I'm surprised the programmer (Rebecca Heineman) even managed to make it work at all. Good things need time.
@@houstonhelicoptertours1006 for 10 weeks, for what she pulled off was fairly impressive, and that it even runs at a somewhat playable framerate on minimum screen size is a miracle
Yes and no. The development of this game, at least told from the perspective of Burger Becky, (Rebecca Heineman as previously commented) is an entertaining story of ignorance.
I used to hate the 3DO's slower tempo. But after Mick Gordon reinvented "At Doom's Gate" for Doom 4 and Doom Eternal, the 3DO feels right at home. My apologies for ever doubting you
Yep. It sounds slowed down at normal speed, but at 1.25x, it sounds like a better version of the iconic DOOM theme. Hell, imagine this: imagine if the fmv scenes made it into the final game.
Slower tempo is better. The adrenaline of DooM Guy making everything around him slow and vulnerable adds to the visceral nature of the game. Then the game runs at 10FPS if you're lucky lol
@@RainesOnYourParade I should probably upload these somwhere since the OG link is gone (I'll probably put that on MediaFire, since that is what the original link was if I'm not wrong)
I hate the fact that the 3do port could have been so much better, but since they were only given 10 weeks to make it, it turned out like garbage. At least the music is good!
No. DooM guy is fuelled by adrenaline, what you're hearing his him hearing your 1.25x...he's in slow motion pulling imps heads off and sticking shotgunners spines into Cacos eye balls.
The developers put all their skill points into Soundtrack for this port

best at dooms gate version ever
Man, I love the fading harmonic at the end. Awesome way to end the song, imo.
Excellent job on this, it's SMOOOOOTH.
Sounds so earlier 90s it is sweet.

This sounds like if Doom had a coin-op arcade port because it kicks friggin' ass
andy might have been a greedy idiot when it came to his planning, but he knew how to mredo a soundtrack
Who knew a conman could be such a great musician 😂
Damn I can’t even imagine this in OG doom
There's a mod for that.

Would almost fit in the US version of the Sonic CD ost
i dont know what it is with sonic fans and only listening to sonic this would NOT fit

it sounds like At Doom's Gate Synth remix. Cool.
Было в детстве 3DO.Музло в doom конечно очень запомнилось.
Музыка здесь лучшая, но версия порта - худшая...
Men, I would love if the developer of Doom resurrection on 32x/Sega CD would incorporate this in a selectable soundtrack
If I learnt the c libraries I might make doom for 32x cd.
play at 1.25x speed if you want the same tempo/pitch as the PC version
My brother in christ, the flac file don't exist no more, noooooooooo
My brother in Christ he hasn’t been active in 2 years
He's fixed them lmao

80s action music
This sounds like late 90s, mid 2000s Dream Theater
Now I’m wondering how this take will sound with the tempo & pitch corrected to the PC version.
Hey is there a alt download for FLAC versions of these? It brings up an error for me.
Hey, the forum post has been removed. Do you have another link?
I'm like millenia years late on this, but I have the .flac files if you want (I also noticed quite a while ago, that the forum post was gone)
