All this talk of Laing, Szasz and Foucault and anti-psychiatry more generally has reminded me of studying all this many years ago. I'd read quite a few of Laing's books even before my course as I found the topic matter particularly fascinating. All these people has interesting things to say and some valid if overstated arguments. Those were the days when I had no problems reading academic works not just for study but also for pleasure but that's ebbed away over the years so I admire your ability to get to grips with these works as well as to present on them.
