Thank you so much
That was gr8, awesome work
dude 👍.
Thank you 🙏🏻
@AndrewBarrowmanArt 😁👍
I was puzzled by your use of rough watercolour paper until you zoomed in on the black and white photo and saw the light texture marks. The heavy paper texture really helped to bring this out. Looked like fun to do!
Thank you very much. It was a difficult paper to work on but a lot of fun 🤩
Hello Andrew
My Sunday treat... Thank you ☘️
Thank you Rosemary
Love the process……. Beautiful ❤
Thank you so much!
Amazing as always!
Thank you Barbara
Fantastic, the paper certainly adds to the texture. I have some of this paper from a shop in Truro. I'm going to play now you've inspired again.❤
Thank you so much - enjoy your drawing
oh - you've brought back a happy memory. i went on holiday to devon/cornwall border years ago and because my budget wasn't big and i like the landscape all year round, i went in about the last week of january. self catering farm shed conversion and there was a lane like that leading uphill from the farmyard. wellies, woollies and a camera and because the cornish climate is warmer and the lane so sheltered, the primroses were in bud. sketch book, complicated knitting pattern, half bottle of scotch and an open fire for the long dark evenings. perfect for a prematurely curmudgeon gal!
The Scotch and open fire sounds very good on the wet and windy day we have today
That is a really great piece of art work
Thank you so much Dave
absolutely gorgeous drawing. I is inspiring me to use graphite in a more painterly way. thank you
Wonderful - that is great news
Magical to see it all come together - brilliant - thank you
Thank you very much
Your posts don’t come up on Sundays for me anymore. Always love your work
Sorry to hear that Judith - I have been very busy with teaching lately and haven't time to do many videos so maybe that is why?
😮THe size of that graphite powder bag.😮😮😮
It is way too big lol
I love trying new media and also like when other people challenge themselves!
It is great fun challenging oneself - I was sketching people in a cafe today which was really enjoyable and out of my comfort zone
Wonderful to see you dancing in a way on that khadi paper...btw...about the cataloque? Is it still availeble? Greetings, Jan
Thank you Jan - I would email the gallery Whitewater Contemporary in Polzeath and Nick will know if there are any available
Beautiful work as usual Andrew. What type of camera are you using? Photo looks great too.
Thank you. I use a Fuji xpro 2 (which is not brilliant for video) and my iPhone camera 👍🏻
Which brand is your graphite stick, have problems finding them?
I usually use Caran D'ache graphite sticks - I think they are called Greystone
I see a man here deliberately making life difficult for himself: happily, I also understand why - the more you have to struggle with strong media, the greater the potential for making convincing marks. But - sooner you, my boy, than me .... what's fun for you is hard work for the rest of us. OK - now then: conté crayon; carbon pencil; carbon black or Indian ink - all would be a lot easier than the materials you've chosen; but then 'a lot easier' doesn't appeal to you, does it? You want fun - as in - Masochism! Well, more strength to you.
Hi Robert - thank you for your comments my friend. I like a challenge (and suffering lol) but also choose easier subjects (or less difficult!)
Nope. Not allowed to use you fingers for blending, or a rubber, or powder. Just a pencil, 2b,4b,or 6b. But hey that was highschool in the 1980s.😂😂😂
I was there in the 80's lol
