  • Dogs that jump up on people are trying to engage and have fun, but most people don't appreciate it. I teach this simple method that will teach almost any dog to STOP jumping up. Most dogs and puppies will get the lesson in less than 5 minutes. It's not cruel, you don't have to punish the dog, knee the dog or anything aversive. In fact, the dog will teach themselves the lesson - best yet, it can be done by most any sized person. It doesn't require size or strength - it's 100% technique.
Once you see how easy this lesson is, check out the full 40 minute version of this lesson on my member only site at:

There are hundreds of easy to apply lessons on my members only area. Everything from puppy training to competitive obedience to dealing with serious problems. All for one low monthly price.
If yo've ever wanted to become a dog trainer and make a career of it, my online course will give you so much information on different breeds, behaviors and methods and tools. The entire course takes place in an animal shelter, so the dogs we are showing have real behavior problems and you'll learn by watching real people training real dogs. Not fancy trained dogs or professional trainers. You'll see real people learning the skills as you go. Check it out at:

Thanks for this. I’ll try it. She’s went after my shoes last time I tried standing on the leash. I’ll try this and hope it helps.

I love the videos, especially the podcast. I’d love to see someone talk about giant schnauzers, we see a lot about the malanois and German shepherd, I’d be super fascinated to hear about them from someone who’s worked the best of the best

Hi Robert! I recently adopted a GSD who showed up at my house as a stray. He’s an amazing dog, well behaved, extremely motivated to learn, gentle and loving to my 1st dog (mini Doxie). The one and only issue we have with him is that he gets fearful and reactive when men give him or me attention. If I walk him out in public he gets a lot of stares, I’m not sure why other than he’s a good looking GSD with excellent behavior. If a man walks past or stops near me and says “that’s a good dog” he starts barking at the man like he’s an intruder in the home. Am I not doing something right?

Where do I start? Got my dream gsd puppy 4 years ago. Between my Dad passing and other emotional distractions, Miesha didn't get the attention I planned for her. At 4, is it too late to get her trained to an appreciable level?
    Thx
    Jeff

@RobertCabralDogs is it best to find a local trainer or what's your suggestion Robert? You have excellent command with Goofy and all your dogs. I stand in awe

We have major problem (s) with ours! He is housebroken but will NOT bark to potty unless we are next to the door to watch him jump and scratch to signal for it. He barks for everything except that and he WILL potty ANYWHERE (usually by door) if we are not around to watch him signal. Heeeeeelp!!? 🙏🏽

Walk him several times a day to give him a chance to potty. Or leave a door open if you have a fenced in yard.

Do you do that with a young malanois that you plan train as a protection dog

Is Carl for adoption 3:57 ? I like him, he is big frendly social guy! My rottweiler is too frendly, social and stable like him. He is smaller in size than Carl, but he has leaner muscular body and crazy prey and food drive both.
