Funfact: If you translate “Clair de lune” in french it means moonlight. In my opinion, this song is very calming and heart warming! I would recommend it if your new to piano.
And the original meaning was sentimental walk :) which I think adds another interesting layer to it.

Fun fact: Clair de Lune was the first ever song to be recorded. It was sung by a woman in 1860 and recorded by Edouard-Leon Scott de Martinville.
It was later found that they played the recording at the wrong speed, and they learn thst it was sung by a male, probably Scott himself!

My childhood cat passed away a few weeks ago right before my family got home from vacation, about 3 or 4 weeks prior to his passing i learned this song on the piano. Once while i was playing it, he sat next to our piano bench to listen, even though a couple times i messed up and got frustrated, he just sat there so peaceful and content. I sat down to play it for the first time since the incident, it was such a melancholic, not quite sad feeling. I sat on the far edge of the piano bench so there was room for him to sit and listen to his favorite song ❤
