yessss you guys neeeed to listen to dave, who’s mentioned and in this video, he’s in my opinion the best UK rapper, some suggestions would be, lesley, how i met my ex, black (live at the brits 2020) and heart attack
UK female rap talent shouldn't be ignored, in that video you'll Dave with Little Simz as part of the talent dressed in white. She's a genius - check out her tracks Gorilla, Introvert, Point & Kill & Venom to start with. The UK is VERY conscience of not just the music but the visuals so not only is our musical quality better than what is happening in the States but so are our visuals tbh. Little Simz Gorilla will take you on a whole musical & visual ride!!!!
I'm sure someone has a full list of everyone on that balcony, but it includes author Malorie Blackman, ex- England and Arsenal striker Ian Wright, DJ Trevor Nelson. Musicians Little Simz, Dave, Gabrielle, Headie One and Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B. Tribute to the late music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards, with his family holding his picture. He started SBTV which showcased so many artists at the beginning of the career on his RUclips channel giving a lot of big artists their break (eg. Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Dave, Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora and more)
Fire reaction guys. New sub. Stormzy has so many amazing tracks and the back and forth between him and Wiley is definitely worth a listen. You were right about the people on the balcony including Dave and Little Simz who are also both amazing artists worth a listen.
This one was shots back at chip. There was a bunch of drama between the two and he hadn’t responded and this was his response basically saying you’re not worth a full direct diss track. A few people in the scene were calling him a sell out with how heavy is the head went more pop than drill and he was just like okay I’m a sellout but look at my success. The entire video is essentially just him flexing on his success and is absolutely star packed the entire time. Have José in it by itself is insane. He’s an icon in London and dropping him in like it’s nothing was unhinged. At the end is a bunch of icons including people that are big in grime and the culture. And he uses that scene to both show them and the spoken dialogue is flips on who is being shown too.The people in that part are Dave, Little Simz, Big Mike (Stormzy), Gabrielle, and a few others. Stormzy got started in grime and drill. But he had a lot of shit with one of the creators of grime a few years back and they had diss tracks back and forth including one called still disappointed that is absolutely fantastic. His stutter step flow is fantastic plus how he’ll occasionally drop the last word of his rhyme and is just chefs kiss Also Evan you are so real for being disappointed they didn’t know Mel b
Great reaction guys. Mel is his stylist - the lady in the lime green with the lint remover 🙂 The video included many Black UK pioneers in music & art. Subscribed! Lots of Love from the UK 💜 -x-
Mel is Stormzy’s stylist, the one that appeared in the video! This song was a response to another famous Uk rapper (I don’t remember his name, and thats pretty self explanatory ahah, I think he is a older rapper in the industry but I’m not sure), and Stormzy absolutely killed it with his answer. There are a lot of famous people showing up in the video, when he says “I prefer not to speak like I’m José” that’s a reference to José Mourinho’s (a famous soccer coach, that appears in the video) famous line that is in the video. Towards the scene in the garden, all those people are very important for black culture in the uk, either in areas like culture (radio, music, fashion), soccer, etc. I don’t remember all the details exactly but it’s fascinating how many epic people he included in the video showing that he has a lot of them by his side and that by uniting they are stronger, rather then criticizing and dividing (like the other rapper did). I recommend you watch videos explaining, it’s amazing what Stormy did with just one video. Great reaction guys! ☺️

This was aimed at Chip. Stormzy went to Chip's house after he thought Chip had made a sublimal dig at him in a track. Chip then released diss after diss trying to make a clash happen. It would have been very profitable for Chip, but Stormzy didn't want any of it. That's why he has that whole scheme in the video about him taking the L, picking up the bill and feeding the people biting his hand. (Almost) everything he says in this is trying to counter things Chip said about him over four tracks. Stormzy was sending subliminals when he featured in other people's videos (that's also why this is ten minutes long, he got called out for not being able to go the whole track) but had too much to lose taking on someone with Chip's skill directly. The video is amazing. He's doing a lot of hiding behind all that production, and it's all defensive -- he's got nothing to say -- but it's still impressive. Stormzy's in a different lane now; he's a pop star. There's no way back with the die-hard grime or drill scene, really. In a way this is a track bigging himself up (the drama must have been driving him nuts, it took him a year to put this together), but also a kind of end to his previous career and the scene he grew up in. Stormzy's big enough that when he moves into a different lane he'll be taking a lot of artists with him, and honestly, he just needs to take over the commercial scene in the UK now. UK radio plays alot of older American rap and really needs someone of Stormzy's status to take it over like he did at Glastonbury so new talent can get more airtime and recognition. Getting all those people together and celebrating black excellence would be an amazing direction to go in.
I don’t think stormzy didn’t reply because of chips skill, stormzy took their problem past music before the music happened and all chip wanted to do was write bars. If someone pulls up to your residence looking for you, you don’t react by sending disstracks
@@chongychongman1527 What else do you do? Chip could ruin Stormzy's reputation, and that's about all he could do. So he did.
