Thank you so much for explaining that there is a "Data Switching" option so the phone can automatically switch data to your 2nd SIM when data connectivity is poor. That's EXACLY what I needed to know.
Can you please tell me where did you buy this Samsung S24 ? Because the S24 version in US and CANADA is different from sold in Europe. US version 's SIM Manager can not set dual sim separately as what you showed.
Yes, thats exactly same issue I am facing. My s24 ultra is purchased in US and it do not have option for Preferred SIM in it 🫤. While all other phones in UK or India seems have that option. Samsung is cheating US customers it seems with dual sim feature.
If I may add something to this .. I got an additional esim for my Samsung S24 Ultra today (VERIZON service), I learned that if you have a Samsung Watch with LTE service (atleast on the Watch6 classic), you will receive incoming calls from both esim numbers to your watch. You will not have to make any configuration changes to your watch/watch plan. I also learned Samsung S24 Ultra can handle one more sim (a hard physical sim card) if you plan on traveling international.
I have similar set up: one physical sim and other e-sim. My phone is purchase in USA. But I do not get an option for setting preferred sim for data. That's very sad. Do you know any solution to this? My model number is SM-S928 U1 Is this issue with this specific model? Is Samsung going to fix in future software updates etc.?
i have a question for you. in your video at 0:31, it shows Calls/Messages = SIM 1 & Mobile data = eSIM. so even though you have both SIM1 and eSIM, are you saying you can not receive Calls/Messages on eSIM???? i was under the impression with dual SIM phones, you can receive call from both SIMs?
No, you can receive calls and messages on eSIM with dual SIM phones, specifically on Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The eSIM subscription will be used for cellular data, calls, and messages. When using dual SIM, dual standby, you can set which line is default. You can also specify which SIM card you want to use for specific features, such as voice calls, and set the device to use another SIM card for data services if the preferred SIM card cannot connect to the network.
@@WebproeducationOrgTechnology If using dual physical SIM cards. Will the phone be capable of RECEIVING calls and texts from both SIMS? I understand that you can set it to "Always ask" when MAKING a phone call. But what about RECEIVING?
Im so pissed off qith samsung. I have the model unlocked bought in USA SM-S928U1 and was working perfectly like dual sim. I have a physical sim on slot 1 and a esim on slot 2, and i was able to choose which one to use! But yesterday after the new june update, i cant choose anything! But what is worst is that only the physical sim is working, the esim nothing! Even if I disabled the physical sim in slot 1. That is ridiculous, im so so disappointed quth samsung s24 ultra. Only problems from when i bought it. Worst problem is tge annoying camera that chsnge the contrast after i take the picture, and there isn't any way to stop this bs ! This is so crazy for a so expensive damn phone ! Im really pissed thst i want to throw away this bs phone

Is there a SIM card switcher in the quick settings panel?
Is this the International variant or the US variant?
Is a duel eSIM possible where one eSIM is with on provider and the second eSIM is with a different provider?
I don't have option for preferred sim. Please can you help?
I have the same issue.
Excellent - you are a natural teacher
Glad you think so!
Why can't I use a normal SIM in slot 2 and an ESIM? Trying normal slot 2 is deactivated unlike slot 1.
U cannot activate 2 esims . You can only have 1 physical and 1 e sim to be able to use dual Sims. At one time only 1ce sim can be turned on
Good day ? How do use this watsup dual becos has 2 sim? So how watsup + nother watsup so can have 2 sim working Dubble duel???? How?

I have a question. Isn't it possible that the eSIM assigns in slot 1, not in 2? Is it a default setting that an eSIM will only be assigned in slot 2?
