Edith cook died of starvation at the age of three and her body was taken to a donated plot for abandon children. Also why do you never show the actual photos of your stories but a bunch of random ones.

Also how could those lead cubes have been found magnet fishing? Leads not magnetic. And how did they know who the girl was? They would have had to check thousands of people to find her DNA match... it ALL sounds fishy to me. I agree with them constantly showing the same stock footage for all their stories. Where's the real pictures if these are real reports?

@@Him57 -- DNA matching uses all criminal DNA databases *AND* all genealogy DNA records as well. So anyone who pays $100 to get their DNA analysis is now part of the database. At this point more then 60% of the people in the US have their DNA recorded.

My guess would be as a reminder of what he lived through. There's probably many days where hardtack was all he had to eat. I don't know how much you've read up on the history of hardtack, specifically during the Civil War, many times it was infested with bugs, they still had to eat it cuz that was all they had. They did their best to make it palatable, dipping it in coffee, or if nothing else river water to soften it. The soldiers hated it but it was common food for soldiers cuz it lasts for years, it could be shipped to troops hundreds of miles without spoiling. At the 1913 50 year anniversary of Gettysburg, hardtack was given to the veterans as a memento of their time on the battlefield, that shows you how memorable hardtack would have been.

If ya just look up some pioneer recipes, roasted skunk, possum stew, etc., ya realize on the frontier folks ate what they could forage, hunt or trap. That narrowed your options....I dunno, I enjoy learning about the past. Human history is so damn interesting.

Hey Katrina. In my little bit of research that I’ve done in the past, New York in certain places was kind of swampy. So they would take ships that could not be repaired and they would sink them on top of each other in areas that needed to be filled instead of dropping stones or dirt. Then they would place stones and dirt on top of the ship. So that may be what happened in the case of the Ground Zero mystery.

While working in the west Euphrates river valley in Iraq, I found a pristine hand ax that dated back 1.8 to 2 million years. A team of sociologists who were doing ethnographic research with the Tzidi people helped me display it. Ultimately, many universities and museums wanted it. In the end, an unmarked white car from the Iraqui division of history and antiquities confiscated it. They became angry when I would not tell them where I found it. I am certain that they sold it to a private collector. Yes, I have pictures of it.

I didn't know what they were either but I knew they were important when I opened the bag and seen the swastika's on them. I had the writing translated and it turns out they were flag pole tops. 1 was from a Nazi R&R camp and the other was from one of the smaller, lesser known prison camps. His father-in-law was Polish and had been in one of the camps and had gotten them somehow and brought them with him when he came to the states in the early 50's.

7:06 - definitely...that is an embarrassing situation. The Royal B.C Museum brought it's reputation into question but I would like to hear the the outcome of that mess

What a great video! I liked learning about all these great lost items. But I will point out, that a lot of Indigenous communities in Canada prefer to be called First Nations and the video of the dancers you have (while they are still Indigenous) are an Aztec dance group based out of Woodburn, Oregon and are called Huitzilopochtli and this video was from a performance of ours at the Oregon State capitol in Salem.
