Exactly!!!! He's just doing what he wants to do. Just because it's a bit different does not mean it's bad. If anything, I actually really like this song. It's refreshing. Some people just don't fully understand that there are other genres of music that are good other than heavy metal

I’ve been a Slipknot fan since Iowa when I was 12. And I bought the Stone Sour album the day it came out just because it was CMFT and Jim Root. I’ve listened to CMFTs solo stuff since his Christmas song came out.
There have been Slipknot songs and albums I didn’t particularly care for. Same goes for Stone Sour. And his solo stuff. But I have followed Corey Taylor through the years and his sheer persistence and dedication to making music of all types is what keeps me coming back.
Personally, I think this song is kick ass. And CMFT Must Be Stopped isn’t my favorite but I still like the change and the collaboration.
I’m a few years younger than Corey Taylor but as someone who has kids, battled addiction, matured and aged just like he did, I can understand his tendency to play less in your face stuff as the standard.
But I also love that the old hatred and anger makes its way out now and again too. I’ll be a CMFT, Slipknot, and Stone Sour fan til I die. Doesn’t mean I like it all. But I can appreciate it all
He is also a world before he is a man.

I watched a movie called vivarium that was a bit like this.

Honestly this almost reminds me of Bruce Hornsby from the late 80's and early 90's without the piano lol... It really sounds nothing like him, but it sort of reminds me of it how it's got that uplifting sort of country vibe to it.

People forget Josh Home, Mike Patton, Anthony Kiedis, Mick Harris(who was pioneer of grindcore but ended creating dubstep trip hop🤣).People always forget that musicians are not close-minded as their fans. I listen 350+ subgenres of music from classical and orchestral to hardcore metal/electronic and I haven't any problems with Taylor's music. Hell, even pop music is experimenting with genres in there(i don't mention mix of pop and metal) but ppl want to complain

Corey Taylor, hands down my favourite vocalist of all time. There are some amazing artists in our world which we should be more than grateful for but there is just something about Corey and his ability to be so versatile and sound incredible no matter what he does. Everything he sings feels like it comes from his heart and soul. Cannot speak more highly of him as an artist or human being. An absolute inspiration to a lot of lost souls and people in our world. I've never had the pleasure of seeing you live in an audience but I would tick off a life goal should you ever tour Australia again.

I told the barber to keep the back and top 3 times what does he do? Shave the back....so now i currently have coreys under cut, its still cool but i wanted to keep the back aswell, im currently growing out the hair again

This is proper catchy. Subliminal verses was a huge album for me in my pre-teens, Slipknot a big part of that era for me. Great song this! I'm not a one genre bias guy never have been, been a drummer and guitarist for going on 20 years mainly hard Rock and classic metal stuff but it's my advice to any future musicians out there to expand your knowledge and taste of music as much as possible, enjoy it all, it's endless!

Everyone needs to calm down! It's a solo album! Corey literally said when he was working on it a while back that the album will be everything else outside of Slipknot and Stone Sour. Everyone should be grateful that he didn't dilute the sound of those bands by adding stuff like this into their Discography. It's not even a bad song it's average and still enjoyable. Don't pigeon hole the artist from being an artist otherwise we could get a Linkin Park One More Light album issue.

I think a lot of people are being honest and acknowledging that so far Corey’s solo music is poor - average.
It is completely reasonable for people to except far better from someone who they know is capable of making high quality music.
People don’t have to like everything just for the sake of being positive and supportive.
As someone newly trying solo music it’s better he gets all opinions so he can grow and get better at his craft

Instead, they are complaining that the music sounds nothing like Slipknot or Stone Sour when it is not meant to be that. People can dislike things but they need to give better reasons than it's not slipknot or stone sour when it was clear that the album wouldn't be.
