Obviously we all will compare this Movie to Original Bhool Bhulaiyaa and so we expect this Trailer to be full of comedy. But the Thing with Comedy is that once you hear the joke, the next time your hear it, it doesn’t gives u same Laughter. So maybe they are saving it for the movie
I dont have any hope as farhad samji wrote the Dialogue. Cinematography looks good but i don't thing they will surpass the original in terms of story treatment.

I wasn't much hyped abt it, cuz I was very disappointed, when I get to know that priyadarshan is not directing the movie, Tho I'm not doubting anees bazmi's talent, but there's no-one like priyadarshan. He should do more comedy movie with AK, like he used to do in 2000s.

Anyways, it seems like the humour would be the average double meaning stuff with 0 grey matter involved. The trailer revealed a bit more than required, it seems Kartik Aryan's character is a crook who mooches people off by peddling lies about being a medium to several souls.
Most likely he has some sort of tragic backstory which he hides behind his crooked nature, that thing along with Manjulika's legend created a separate personality of Manjulika in Kartik's mind. This is a classic case of DID and Tabbu would play the role of the investigator who will unearth the mystery.
To be precise the trailer is shit, it revealed the whole plot, in reality if they just cut those resolution scenes and stopped only at Manjulika's appearance it would have been great. Cause generally the expectation was that Kartik would play the role of the psychologist and Kiara/Tabu would be the one haunted by the Dissociative identity disorder and then the final twist would be that we were all wrong and Manjulika herself is just another personality of Kartik.
(The trailer ruined it.)
P.S. : In the ``Bada Harami hai`` scene the dead woman is revealed to be Kiara's character. So in a way it means Kartik's character hallucinates dead people also. In a way reminds me of Judgemental Hai Kya and Secret Window.

There were two Kartik's in the end and Kartik(Arijit Singh's voice) sang the song. Plus Tabu's character was seen investigating the appearance of Manjulika where something caught her eye. So in a way that's all there is.

Here Kartik Connects with the Past story of Monjulika and sees her love interest Kiara as Monjulika in hallucination. That is why Kartik is singing Amije tomar in end. In Climax Akshay will enter as psychiatrist and will treat Kartik. This is how movie will also connect with Mental Health. In middle we also saw Mala on Kiara's Photo.

I think the Akshay kumar charm I'd needed for this sequel. Personal opinion mujhe Kartika Aryan ki acting achi nahi lagti. Like agar faltu expression ko bollywood acting bolta hai. FYI,
I can clearly say this was first made in Kannada 2010 (Film - Aptharakshaka & acted by Dr.Vishnuvardhan) and then remade in Tamil (acted by Rajinikanth) and in Telugu remake as Nagavalli acted by Venkatesh Daggubati. Of course there will be lot of changes made in the plot for Hindi...
