- This is my drum cover of, "Today" by the American rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. The original drum part was performed by Jimmy Chamberlin and the song was released as the second single on the band's second album and major label debut, Siamese Dream. For this cover I tried my best to replicate the original performance. Enjoy! :D

oi do you have a version of this with the sheet music beneath? i basically finished learning this song from your other video but want to play along with the music. i dont have it memorized
Hey there! I don’t have a version with the sheet music and the song just because if I use the original recording my video gets a copyright claim on it which, in the past, has led me to get my videos taken down. I suppose the only way to find a work around would be to play my video with the sheet music on mute and then try to time it right with the actual song. Might be tricky to do but that’s all I can think of. Thanks for checking out my channel, I’m glad to hear you’re making use of my videos! 😁🤘

Well done! Must me difficult to record drums (not a drummer myself). How did you manage to get the drums out of the original track?
I thought I had replied to this a long time ago but apparently that's not the case lol Anyway... Thanks Devin! Good question...Surprisingly you can find "drumless" versions of quite a few popular songs on youtube including this one. I'm not exactly sure how you'd do it but you would probably need some kind of special software that removes only the drums while leaving the rest of the song intact.
Good job man. Solid cover. I will say, you should really focus on improving your posture while you're playing. A few years down the line you're gonna have some pretty serious back and joint problems if you don't address the issue asap. I know this video is fairly old, but if you're still playing drums, and you haven't corrected this issue yet, you should start immediately. It may sound like hyperbole, but playing with proper technique to minimize wear and tear on your body is one of the most important aspects of playing drums. Hope you're still at it. ✌
