Greg’s laugh is so infectiously funny, like Aaron’s.They get that hilarious rolling laughter going where one’s laugh is making the other break and it just goes
I really enjoy that the 4 of you found out that Dusty had a relative who was literal nobility in England and the High Sheriff of London but you were more fascinated by what was going on with the people's ties in the picture of his grandfather...Best podcast ever, keep up the good work!
Dusty told the same story on the Alabama episode about his company saying, “who has it better than us” to which everyone but Dusty replied “NOBODY”. Surprised police chief breakfast didn’t catch this repeat story. Love the Pod, and Hey Bear!
Love me a Greg Warren ep, wouldn’t mind if he was a mainstay. His inability to separate himself as a Pringles salesman; from anything else, might truly be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
My 11yr old asked what the episode was about today and I told her it was Sales. Then she asked me if it was s-a-l-e-s or s-a-i-l-s. I love that her question is completely appropriate for this podcast and either option could have been right.
Greg warren is Awesome. Greg selling the pen was the best.😂😂😂 BTW Bic Gelocity is the best pen. I'm left handed and it's the only pen that the ink dries so quick that when my hand goes over the ink it doesn't smear. Plus it flows smooth doesn't drag. I don't work for Bic. I've just tried so many pens.😊
I was not looking forward to comment reads with Nate missing, but Aaron didn’t disappoint. Loved seeing Dusty and Greg on their first date. It was adorable and entertaining.

I am a Category Manager for a grocery retailer. My job is to meet with people like Greg and decide what items we carry, what price we sell them for and we’re in the Plan-O-Gram we merchandise their items…. I loved this episode. Everything Greg and Dusty were going back and forth over had me in stitches. I have to deal with all these issues all the time and most of the time it’s stressful and draining but hearing their old war stories about life in retail is great medicine while I work😂
Greg, can I get an update after you go to the urologist? The frequency of your bathroom breaks are very close to mine. I often get dehydrated because this is such an issue for me. Thanks in advance and hope you come back with some solution.
I can't believe we finally got the gate keeper and the key master together in one episode! Dusty and Gregg finally get to stare each other down for 2 hours!
Nate has been checked out from the podcast for a while and this episode proved it. This one felt like the first episodes. Light hearted and fun without Nate disagreeing with everything Aaron says.
If I’m honest, when Nate is on the Podcast he seems unhappy, or maybe overworked and just tired. If I go back and watch him in the first episodes he just seems like he’s having fun. That’s been lost at some point, and it comes out a lot in how he interacts with Aaron in particular.
Nate is putting so much into his current tour. He had 3 shows scheduled for Chicago. That has expanded to 6 shows! This is just one city. I see online that he keeps adding shows. I think the change you mentioned may be exhaustion. Plus, they started the podcast during the shutdown due to Covid when not much work was going on. I don't know when Nate's tour ends, but I hope he gets some much needed rest.
Balderdash Bates has never been more on point with his family's love of Crossville, TN, and Mariner's Point. I'm from Northeastern PA, but I went to Crossville (technically Fairfield Glade) with my grandparents and brothers every summer as kids. It's truly paradise for pickleball, putt-putt, and most notably Nate's favorite sport, golf.
Hello Folks and Hey Bear 🐻 Dusty and Greg on the same episode was the best! Dusty, you know you have to invite Greg to The Land. Thanks for all the laughs
A) Greg Warren has THE BEST laugh I’ve ever heard. I laugh anytime that guy laughs. B) when talking about how to fake laugh with people around you, it made me think, yall should do a “Dear Abby” episode where we can write in our predicaments and we can get the professional problem solvers to give us advice. Only good things could come of that, I’m sure of it.
I love how in the last podcast Greg said how he was arguing with his dad about “really being in sales”. But then when Dusty said “sometimes I would try and sell to a person in the store”. Greg pointed and said “now that’s a committed employee” 😂 1:27:00
Bitcoin had the dueling banjos of retail strategy going between Dusty and Greg. He had me rolling when he asked "What's a planogram?" in an excited tone. Anyone that has been in retail (25 years myself) knows that planograms don't deserve that level of excitement. Thank you for the laughs and great job to the guys for filling in without Nate.

Today was officially my last day at my current job. I arrived a little early this morning and was just sitting in my car listening to the episode when Aaron told the "etiquette eti-cat" story and I lost it. The mental image of him trying to be polite and accept that brutal advice sent me into a total laughing fit. Unfortunately this happened while most of my soon to be former coworkers were showing up to start their work day. I'm pretty positive everyone assumed I was incredibly giddy to be leaving and that probably made my goodbyes and claims that I would really miss the place come off a little less than sincere.
Flute Man! Always love seeing Greg. Last night I dreamed I was Nate's opening act. Does anyone else think Greg looks like Will Forte at certain angles?
Is it the most breakfast thing ever that his parents own a timeshare an hour and twenty minutes away? To be fair, it is the home of the United States Chess Federation corporate offices.
Much like Aaron, I had a job that required me to make a certain number of calls every day. The more important metric at this job was time on the phone, not just calls made. One day I called a school and got lost in their voice mail system. I realized I could get phone time by sitting there, stuck in voicemail limbo, increasing my time on the phone. I went to that well one too many times and my manager called me into her office and said, “You aren’t even talking to anyone, how are you going to make a sale?” I replied, “We both know I suck at this job, let’s just agree it’s time to move on.” She agreed and I was unemployed.
The Earth isn't really spinning that fast because speed is relative. The fact that it is so big makes the 1000mph so unnoticeable. To Aaron’s point I think the Chick-fil-a’s inside other businesses (airports, hospitals, etc.) have some kind of different ownership/licensing thing and they’re almost all awful

Yay!! Always great to see Mr. Peanut butter back!! Now every time I go to the grocery store I check to see where the Jif and Pringles are located. And of course love the podcast. I look forward to Wednesday.
I laughed so hard throughout this entire episode. As an employee of The J.M. Smucker Company (current owner of Jif and Folgers), I love Greg's sales stories so much! Also love how smoothly Dusty sold the single pen to Aaron. He did say his mother loves this pen in his pitch to Aaron, but he said it so naturally and authentically - I think Aaron bought it because of that without even realizing that's why he bought it. Slick, Dusty!
I enjoy Greg's telling and re-telling of his stories. To me if feels natural to hear someone re-tell the same story, sometimes you hear a friend tell you a story even with a slight variation and you can still enjoy the conversation. Years ago I joked to a friend that as I was getting older, I could watch the same movie more than once and still enjoy it like the first time. He told me, "Well, I have read the same book more than once without realizing it. It was still a good read". In fact, he said, " a while ago I bought the same book twice". I said, " okay, you win".

I started a craft business to make money as a stay at home mom. I made products that I used with my kids like baby carrying wraps, homemade lotions and diaper rash cream. I sat up at craft shows but instead of selling my items I would end up telling my customers how to make it at home. 😂 I would never make it as an actual salesman.
I don't eat a lot of peanut butter, but when I do, I make sure it is not Peter Pan's. Thanks for all the laughs Greg
Black beans describing San Diego as ‘trapped’ against an ocean rather than beach city is the most Bates thing he’s said in a while.
