Great review - I'm picking up a classic 350 in a month or so and am looking to get this pannier system :) I'm in Perth too. Trying to get the current classic model before they release the new one with LED lights and stuff!
Cheers, you wont be dissapointed with the classic 350. I will say with this system the only issue i have come across so far is a bit of rusting on the frame. I installed them pretty much at the start of winter, and I got completely saturated numerous times. Hope you enjoy your classic and ride safe!
I bought the cheap ebay panniers for my hunter 350 (about $280) the other (better) option I was looking at was $800. I couldn't be happier with the bags I got.
Nice bike - the bronze chrome - and they look much nicer without the pillion seat. I have a halcyon grey classic 350 - with same bags from ebay - They do fade in the sun & quality is ok. Also fitted a a toe n heal shifter and a Fuel X Lite. As one stranger commented, " its a pretty bike".
Thanks, yeah they are gorgeous bikes, I almost went with the halcyon grey, I think its one of their best colours. Cheers for the insight on the fading, enjoy and stay upright!
Hope ur enjoying the bags! I like the leavers alot, I never got to test the original ones as I bought the bike with them fitted. Being able to adjust them on the fly is really nice, and they feel of good quality. Ride safe!
Hey, I do think that handle bars are a little low for taller riders. I am 5'10 with lanky arms, and after a while I get discomfort from them. However I think a different set of bars would sort the problem. I dont think the seat and leg room should be too much of a problem but I am not sure as Im not as tall. Hope this helps :)
Thanks for all the information...two questions yet... Is it absolutely necessary to remove the pillion seat ? I checked on Ebay and up to now, only found red or dark green canvas bags, but no black...maybe you could type in link of supplier ?
I bought the brown bags & rack for my bronze/chrome on e bay and am very happy with them. You should re-treat the bags annually to maintain the wzterproof quality
Hi, Honestly not sure as I bought the bike second hand with the pillion seat already removed. Item number 195568579475 for the ones I got and the seller name is "Spare-nutsroyal". Sorry for late reply, hope this helps :)
Great review. Are you sure they're not genuine RE? I have bought a couple of sets from eBay for my Royal Enfields and I had assumed they were genuine as they have the RE logo on them? Over the last year I've bought a heap of RE parts and accessaries, some genuine RE and some not. There are quite a few knock-offs there but they don't tend to have the Royal Enfield branding on them. I'm also in Oz. Anyway happy riding, 😀
Cheers! Honestly I cant say, I just assumed they are knock offs as the other royal enfield ones look slightly different, and of a higher quality. Happy riding to you too!
i bought the cheap ones. theyre absolute shite. on the plus side, ter stitching skills will get better and yer spray painting skills get better cos ye have to do a proper job on he rack system. colours fade somthin fierce aswell.
Your video editing skills and quality keeps getting better. Keep it up mate.
Cheers! :)

Looks great, and wateresistant! but there does not appear to be any way you can lock up the bags?
Yeah sadly not, so far they are holding up, however slight rusting on the loops. Just have to hope no one runs off with them !
Waiting for my bags to arrive, black on grey. Noticed your nice leavers, any good?
