Hey Tom, the dehumidifier won't go below that 30%ish mark because that would be the natural level for a room in a house. Beyond that, you would need an air-tight seal on the room, but relatively, it is as dry as another room. so if you want to start drying out the laundry room on your own switch the machine into that room

For the kitchen cupboards, go for the locks that go inside the cupboard and has a magnet for a key, we got some when my daughter got to Alfie's age they are really good. Just make sure Lydia doesn't do what my missus did and throw one magnet in the bin, and some how not notice the other was stuck to a pan that she then cooked with 😬
He has it/had a ice scraper he just doesn't know the exact location of it he's mentioned it a number of times in the vlogs how he has one but he thinks its in the house why he hasn't put it in one of the vehicles is beyond me

I really like brads new Gate house design. Even though it’s really modern I feel this lay out and design feels much more inviting and suited for the 110. That large glass window at the back is absolutely magic even to the point of where I would say a little decked area that looks down into the valley would look great. Very modern Canadian lodge vibes I really like it!

Magnetic child safety locks are amazing in kitchens & can’t see from the outside. You can have them engaged or not & work very well. Just need multiple magnets in case you lose them!

The fires are bad and it’s crazy that it’s in cities. Fires like this happened the last few years in Canada. Close to some towns and the wildlife and stuff was almost gone. Thankfully firefighters from across Canada that didn’t have wildfires in their provinces and even firefights from South Korea came to help. All of this is reminding me of Australias fires a few years ago as well. Hope the fires stop soon.

I would recommend calling for updates every 2/3 days so the claim has some progress on it - all depends on the company that is handling it or if it’s with a loss adjuster. But highly recommend chasing stuff up with claims team/loss adjusters and contractors

The second jack started rolling/crawling, we put up gates. And I also bout double door baby locks, and those weird things for single doors, and I put them on the cupboards, so he never actually had the opportunity to get into any of the cupboards. Lols, it was a stress I never wanted to deal with and it managed to work, and we kept it all up when we had Lukas. 🤷🏼♀️

That diesel heater you bought is good but keep In mind you have to refuel them around every 2 days dependent on use and they cost around £70 to brim however I wouldn’t recommend briming them with diesel as the seal on the fuel filler cap is a bit shit and tends to spill diesel everywhere when you have to transport it so I’d only fill it 3/4 of the way about £50 and you should be good!

I have twins and we had the same problem with them going in all the cupboards in the kitchen. Best place to look for a child lock for the cupboards is Amazon. We opted for one where you get a magnetic key to open the doors. That way you can keep that out of reach and there’s no way of the little one finding out a way to open the cupboard. It also means the door doesn’t open at all without the key so no risk of trapped fingers.

No idea what they are called but basically you hover the magnet over and it unlocks and locks it! Deffo stopped her going wild in the cupboards 😂😂😂

I have a lot on my cupboard doors from when me and my sister were younger. they look pretty easy to install. and once you know how to open them its pretty easy but also difficult for a child, I can't remember the name of them. once ive found it ill DM a screenshot of what I mean and the name of it on instagram.

You also generally don’t want a room below 30 percent. There are big downsides to having humidity levels that are too low
Exacly what i was going to tell, ideal humidity in a house would be between 40% and 60%. So yeah maybe its best to place it now in de laundry room.

I'd really recommend invisible cupboard locks can get ones with magnets or just ones you push down on but they work well

There’s magnetic based opening system you can get on kitchen doors that only apples when a megnet is placed on a certain point
I went to my homebase and they had no boxes or rugs but got two units for the living room that looks amazing 🙏 and going back tomorrow on my day off
