And theres MANY levels and tiers to them. You did go to a very low tier one unfortunately. But for guidance, a "PFC" shop is essentially a typical chicken shop, with added Bengali style cooking options like Bengali Style sauté Donner options and curry options as a minimum too. However, a key staple for PFCs are the chilli sauces! Each PFC have their own recipe for homemade chilli sauces and others. Drenching your chicken snd chips in the sauce is essential part of the meal hence loads of PFCs are judged solely on their sauces too. Just thought I would give you the insight into the deep routed cheap chicken and chip culture in Towerhamlets, especially for the asian community and very big part of growing up and daily life! For more insight, one "PFC" that managed to expand across the country with hundreds of franchises, more than anyone else would be "Spice Hut". A household name and typical go to for a dirty Bengali style donner drenched in all the chilli and red sauce. Again originated in Stepney/Mile End Towerhamlets.

Nanrose looks like a decent fast food kinda place, the lettuce being as fresh as it was definitely puts it above. You can tell so much about a place on whether they buy quality vegetables
Generally if it feels like somethings missing it’s about depth of flavour, it’s not hitting you in the back corners of your mouth. The only way to get that is to really take time and care with the way you prepare food
pfc in Ipswich is genuinely the best fried chicken shop I’ve ever been to. Been using it for the past 10 years when visiting for football, hands down better than any KFC.
