SM didnt "lose" him. transferring agencies is common among agencies. Big agencies sometimes help their trainee find agencies where they will have a better chance to debut rather than staying with them with no promise.
What the comments here may pertain is that SM "lose" him for they let him debut in a unit but just hid him years after. No, he didn't transferred agencies, and SM didn't transferred him. He left SM, became a vocal trainer in Modern K Academy and staff from Cube encourage him to auditioned to Cube and take another chance to debut.
