Time was a curious thing. It never seemed consistent, despite all evidence to the contrary. Moments that felt as though they lasted for hours upon end, could indeed be mere minutes passing, while times that felt like no more than the blink of an eye, could indeed be the passing of years. This is what was on the mind of the young ronin as he sat at the end of a dock that reached out into the lake, gazing out on the brilliant colors of the lands he had ventured into. Laid out in front of him, his sword and flute, his sugegasa laid on the ground beside him, a rare moment in which he would remove the hat, it felt all of his life decisions sat around him. He reflected back on all of the places he had been, the journey seeming as if it had merely just begun, but in truth, he'd seen years slip through his fingers like sand on the beach. He thought back, memories that were once barely there, as if shrouded by a gentle fog until he focused his gaze on them, came flooding back. Recalling the times and events, and the many songs that had come from such incredible lands. Tenno reached into the pocket of his jacket which sat upon his heart. Only two things ever resided here, his flute, and this small book of music. Everything he'd written on this journey resided in these pages, a journey across these mystical lands, detailed not in story, but in song. The young ronin opened the book. The last song was only halfway through the pages, and this journey was far from over. He shifted his gaze to the landscape around him. Deep greens, brilliant pinks, soft oranges, reds and yellows lined the edge of the lake, the plantlife offering a dazzling array of colors. The sky beyond obscured by the cool grays and whites of the mountaintops, and above them, the brilliant pale blue sky slowly fading into the gentle orange of the sun setting in the distance. He smiled softly and took a deep breath of the cool air. Then, he lifted the flute from its place before him and set the book back into his pocket. Yes, he thought to himself, this place is worthy of song as well. The gentle smile did not leave his face as he lifted the instrument to his lips. This was the life path he had chosen. Though he was ronin, it was the path of the wanderer that was truly his decision. As the first notes rang out, time would seem to slow to his tune. But Tenno was no longer paying it any heed. There was no reason to. All that mattered now was the song. Just wanted to say that once again, you absolutely blow me away with your music. It touches the heart and soul like nothing else. I wish only the best for you my friend. Never stop writing music. it's a gift to the world, and one I appreciate deeply. Thank you again, for inspiring me every time.
