    🔥🔥You can use my Wise referral link to get 1 FREE international transfer (up to RM 2,500): wise.com/invite/iwh/weif84
    Note:
    1) TransferWise have been rebranded to #Wise.
    2) 5:49 "Online FPX" have been renamed to "Easy Transfer" under Transfer Type.
    📌ACH Transfer for Malaysians, please read❗️
    If you are not aware yet, Wise has 2 services on their app:
    A) Overseas remittance service (sending money overseas, as shown in this video) - no issue with this, can proceed to use 😊
    B) Balance (Borderless account) - This service has been removed by Wise for Malaysian clients as the Malaysian Government no longer allow this feature to run on their app. I have confirmed this with their customer support, so if you are exploiting this feature for ACH Transfer to brokers (i.e. Webull), just note that it is unregulated and you have to bear your own consequences. Refer here for the list of country not allowed to open Balance: wise.com/help/articles/2813542/why-cant-i-open-a-balance
    Other than that, please use Wise as you wish as it is still licensed in Malaysia 😊

    Thank you for sharing. Any plans to create video guiding how to withdraw from IBKR (will it be back to your singapore CIMB)? I am using instarem (pretty fast) and might switch to transferwise (better exchange rate) in the near future. Also, i use these 3rd party tools (currently instarem) to transfer to ibkr (SGD) and it works, it takes less than two hours to reflect in IBKR.

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  3 года назад +1

      Hi CM, yes, I do have plans for that since many are requesting for it, though I'm still thinking how it can be a standalone video because the withdrawal itself is a pretty simple content (From IBKR USD convert to SGD, then SGD local transfer to CIMB SG, then transferwise back to MYR bank account).
      Thanks for sharing your experience with InstaReM, definitely helpful for all of us here!

      Thank you! Currently, i'm using this method IBKR USD to local bank MYR though the exchange rate is not great. So would like to see how we can optimize it but based on your approach, would it cost more because of the below;
      IBKR USD to local bank MYR vs
      IBKR USD to IBKR SGD to CIMB SGD to Transferwise MYR to Local bank MYR

    • @ZietInvests

      @@imcm5743 Theoretically, and mathematically, the latter option (IBKR USD > SGD to CIMB SGD > TransferWise to Local Bank MYR) should cost lesser as the savings with spot rate FX (even dual conversion) should win over the bad spot rate FX.

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  2 года назад +1

      Hi there, at the point of making this video, Wise ACH transfer wasn't an option hence we need to go through the CIMB SG (SGD) route to fund IBKR (SGD), then convert to USD.
      Now that the Wise ACH transfer is available, you can definitely Wise ACH (USD) directly into your USD account, but regardless, the spread between MYR-USD directly versus MYR-CIMBSG-IBKRSG-IBKRUSD is very minimal, so the cost savings of Wise-ACH is almost on par, can refer this video for cost comparison: ruclips.net/video/dJYzHEnBhJs/видео.html

      Hi David, that's great to know!
      I will never recommend one to use TransferWise (Wise) into IBKR directly from your country, reason being there may be complication down the road (fund being withhold, fund being investigated etc.) for which some forumers have faced.
      If you dont have a bank account with a currency that IBKR supports (like USD, JPY, SGD), then you are left with wire transfer from your local bank account. By doing this, you are converting your local currency into USD (with your bank) before it reaches IBKR. Hope this helps!

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  3 года назад +1

      Hi there, technically you can't do it without a US bank account. The reason why you see some Malaysians were able to do it because they previously (like 2 years ago) opened a TransferWise Borderless account, which can then be linked up for ACH funding method. However, TransferWise has since removed the Borderless account from Malaysia because the local government somehow disallowed it.
      For now, we are theoretically not allowed to use the Borderless account service anymore, but those that have access still can use it (the app somehow did not remove it). Hope this helps!

      Hi there, yup correct.
      When you convert, you need a bank account that can hold USD. CIMB SG cant hold USD.
      If you want to convert from MYR to USD directly, you can use a Foreign Currency Account or TransferWise borderless account, both are slightly slower than the CIMB SG method.

    HI, after i have transfer the money from my bank, in WISE platform, it come out an message of "ready to pay"?Next, send your money to our MYR account. We'll get started on your transfer the moment we receive your money. There are 2 option. 1. Choose how to pay and 2.I've now paid. What should I click? I also see on upper left corner show "send money", do i need to click it?

      Hi there, you have paid right? You can choose "I've now paid".
      I believe you used the free transfer method right? That is the bank transfer method which is slightly manual, hence you need to notify here "I've now paid" to let them know you have paid them so they can proceed to help you transfer the money.
      Feel free to DM me on Instagram if you need any help!
