Kent Rollins is the best! Ice or cold water is used when you take the eggs out of the boiling water to stop the cooking process. Deviled eggs can be made many different ways and are really good.
Would love to see you two make and try your own! I promise it is as easy, if not easier than it looks and tadtes even better! These are a food you can really add anything you want. You can make them sweet, spicy or even salty (mostly a fan of sweet, but to each their own). Love seeing your reactions!
Deviled ham is the most delicious sandwich spread ever! Cubans use it with cheese cream and mayonnaise to make "Pasta de Bocaditos", a spread you put on on little bread buns to serve at parties.
We eat these most often at holiday meals, family gatherings, cookouts, etc. Occasionally we make them just because they're good but mostly it's holiday food. You can put whatever you like in them.
We have all sorts of deviled foods... deviled eggs, deviled ham, deviled crab, etc. The one thing they all have in common is they are always mixed with other items and they are usually minced or mashed together.
Very few people know why they’re called deviled eggs. There’s deviled ham, too. I suspect it may come from somebody’s first taste of this delightful dish. “Man, this is devilishly tasty!”
Hard boiled eggs, scoop the yolks out and basically make egg salad with them and serve it in the boiled egg white with a little spice on top (I use paprika)
@@epongeverte we never used relish. Probably we couldn’t afford it. Family of eight with a father who liked his veggies boiled into submission and his beef cooked to the point of dehydration. In the USA people will “argue” over whether to use Mayo (Hellmans or Duke’s brand) vs Miracle Whip. Mayo is bland, Miracle whip contains vinegar, which gives food a bit of a “zing”.
it's usually just mayo, yellow mustard, and a little pickled cucumber relish. don't know who started calling them deviled, but the name stuck, and it's been around forever.

Kent Rollins has lost a loveable dog recently, a beagle
According to Google: “Deviled” is another word for spicy or zesty. So it doesn’t have anything to do with the devil.

Keep it simple: eggs, mayo, American mustard, pickle relish and topped with paprika.
