- In this episode 1 of 2 we tour the Excellence Club Two-Story Rooftop Terrace Suite With Plunge Pool - Ocean View in Excellence El Carmen in Punta Cana Dominican Republic, I also feature some highlights of my time here as well as show you some of the entertainment. The Upgrade to Excellence club give you the following additional amenities, its up to you to decide if its worth it, for me in the end it was not.

I have made multiple trips to El Carmen and love it. I have stayed in both room types with the private pools: JUNIOR SUITE WITH PRIVATE POOL and the SUITE WITH PRIVATE POOL AND DECK. I preferred the Suite w/ private pool and deck because it felt significantly more private than the Jr. Suite w/ private pool. Only thing I didn't like about the Suite w/ private pool and deck is that they are all located at the very rear of the property. I am considering the room category you are showing us here. Was there ample air and breeze in the rooftop plunge pool area? Enough sun to actually enjoy laying out? I have stayed in much smaller "plunge pool" rooftop rooms at different properties and it was basically a bathtub wedged between walls and a front row of glass and was dreadfully hot and no air circulating. And shady most of the day. Thanks!

Great vlog too, we had a two storey suite in EPM you can't beat them.
However we booked EPC for 2wks in May in a Club Master Suite, in saying that the resort is closed atm and only EEC is open, so we could be moved to there, the only problem is we payed more for EPC
Do you think they would upgrade us as I don't think they do club master suites in Punta Cana.
And as much as we loved the dr we booked M Mirage the lastime we visited, so its our first time at an Excellence in the dr.

bob d hey buddy yes they do refill them but. They make you exchange your empty bottle and they label the room number to the bottle so you can’t share with friends to swap it basically they want to make sure you don’t take anything home. There is a way to beat the system but I will leave it up to you to figure out ;)
I'm curious as to why you felt Excellence Club was not worth it in the end? My husband and I are trying to decide if we should the Club or not.
Are any of the pools open 24/7 to use anytime? This will help us make a decision on our room
I've been looking into the DR for my honeymoon and I've seen a lot of reviews mention seaweed problem. The beach is a high priority. How did you enjoy the beach? Was there a problem with seaweed during your stay? White sand? Soft?
Jeremy Armstrong major seaweed they had a tractor trailer going u and down the beach sweeping the seaweed off the sand but did not seem to help much

We’ll every night we average 6-8 people after 10pm my routine was to go in have 2 drinks then go sit by the beach and look at the stars
so would you recommend this resort angel? feel like the price was worth the experience and what you got for it? looking at booking here for my honeymoon and want it to be special. everything looks nice room wise but didn't know about anything else and was wondering how your experience was
This was Pre covid and I felt the nightlife to be very lacking not sure how they do things now with covid. In theory you would’ve thought the resort was jumping at night but alas it wasn’t, food was also lacking IMO. I would NOT return here

First time going to DR and staying at this resort. Got a few questions. Did you pay for the room or were you upgraded? How can I let the resort know we’ll be going for our honeymoon? I saw u had a a few extra gestures in the room for ur anniversary and my question was did u let them know beforehand? Also is the end of October still good weather for DR? Thanks ahead for ur help. Would you recommend plunge pool or private pool which is shared? For some reason plunge was less expensive so went to the private pool but based on your video the plunge looked better!?!?
My only problem with the plunge pool on the rooftop is that it was cold other than that the room was better! As far as your other questions a lot has changed so it’s best to contact the hotel themselves
What’s the difference between Excellence punta canta and excellence el Carmen?
Hey mate, looks amazing, did you pay for ocean view? On a website at the moment there’s the plunge pool terrace room with ‘view of pool’ and one that’s ‘oceanfront’ with a steep price difference. Your view is perfect, would one did you/would you opt for?

tmomgirl tmomgirl this Resort is not one for nightlife or loud music have you seen my review of Chic? I would recommend chic for nighttime fun! This resort yelled at me for having a small beats pill speaker by the pool playing Spanish music because it was so quiet I could hear everyone’s conversation, it is a beautiful resort but that’s about where it stops lol
@@AngelsTravelUnravel thank you... yes I've seen that review and actually went to Chic 2017...it didn't really have night life either... at dusk or after dinner it shut down... Casino had few people in it as well... We travel with a large adult group...

Andrew Guziec they have all types saw a lot of Jose Cuervo, Patron (regular and cafe), Deleon, Don Julio, and a few other Mexican brands I was not aware of
How was food and night life?
Nijade Burley food was just ok average at best and nightlife was hit or miss some nights the night club had 3 people other nights had max capacity one thing is for sure this place is not a party place most folks and things shutdown by 10pm

how deep is the plunge pool? To me they look like bathtubs. Are they deep enough (4') like a real pool are is it really a bathtub?

Not sure why they consider this a plunge pool. The ONLY plunge pool I've seen that is factual is the one that's at majestic elegance Costa mujeras
