They announced at their first concert of 2019 at Yokohama Arena on June 28th, that a dancing support role would be rotating between three new "Avengers". They are Riho Sayashi (former Morning Musume), Kano Fujihira (current Sakura Gakuin), and Momoko Okazaki (a Sakura Gakuin graduate). This music video has Kano. She is also the current Student Council President of Sakura Gakuin, a role both Su and Moa held during their time with the group. BABYMETAL originated in 2010 as the "Heavy Music Club" sub-unit of Sakura Gakuin. They became an entirely separate group when Su graduated from Sakura Gakuin in March of 2013.

Shanti means Peace in Hindi, this is a Bollywood based song. Much of this video is the background which gets projected at a Babymetal show on a huge screen behind the stage, they have a camera and add in the effects real time. So in a sense the whole thing is live. The girls have been on tour all year and really haven't had time to shoot a video. You are correct, the first two girls you mentioned are Moa and Su, original members, the third is one of the three dancers who rotates out. Yui, the third member, had an illness and had to retire. The guitars are much more aggressive when they played in the States last year
The Indian vibes you got were bang on - BABYMETAL does Bollywood ... get another 200 dancers on stage with them and it's authentic (some people don't want to go there again just yet though). Well spotted, the third girl you didn't recognise was Kano, one of the 3 'Avengers'. She was 14 when this was filmed last year I think (possibly 15 if it wasn't filmed when and where I think it was) and is the current Student Council President of Sakura Gakuin - the Idol group from which BABYMETAL originally sprung. Both Su and Moa are former Student Council Presidents from their time with SG. As with most of the recent official videos, this had the studio audio over the live footage. Having heard Su (and Moa with the backing vocals of course) singing this live in London last year, I can personally say Su is incredible. It's a shame they over-used the kaleidoscope effects for the video, the choreo for this song is almost mesmerising but they missed out so much of it.

Babymetal can mix any genres and make them work. This is totally Indian, from the patterns behind them through to the dance moves which are very Bollywood (India's film industry) and the Indian tablas (hand drums) and sitars (guitar, sort of). Plus the Indian name Shanti.
This is one of those songs that just shows how talent these girls have they definitely chose well choosing the girls for this group they shine in just about everything they do

I think its time for Starlight. A song that has very deep meaning to Babymetal and their fans. Thought to be a tribute to their late guitarist Mikio who fell from an observation tower and passed days later 2 years ago.Also thought to be a tribute to Yui who announced her departure the day the video was released. We will never know the true intention of the song but it its paired with the last 2 songs on the Metal Galaxy album( Shine and Arkadia) and named the Trilogy of Lights by the producer himself. Rumored that the trilogy of lights is a small nod to the fans from the team that they are/were hurting and want to help the fans move on from a very hard and tragic 2018. Id watch the official video for starlight before the Live , both are very powerful visually and hit hard.

They REALLY Shouldn’t have picked that song to show on Stephan Colbert what a huge wasted opportunity so many people thought they were a stupid gimmick after that I feel like they should have used one of their more serious songs with better instrumentals and maybe given the Kami band a little time to solo cause most people in the US don’t appreciate singing in other languages besides English Gimme chocolate just doesn’t appeal to most people and I personally love the song and have probably watched it hundreds of times but Picking it ruined a huge opportunity

They're so good. Babymetal is my fav japanese group! I discovered them in in late 2017 and been a fan since that time. It was sad when Yui left and Mikio died. But i'm happy they are still going.
