@@paulcole It's not a release, it's an early access BETA TEST FOR ENTHUSIASTS. Stop saying dumbass things. For an EARLY ACCESS 0.1 VERSION, it's good. You do realize this is the equivalent of demo's back in the day, and for a demo it's fantastic. A demo, brother. It is literally 0.1.
Nahhh FFB needs a lot of work specially the damping and friction. The stiffness is crazy and there needs to be a lot of more details sent to the wheel.
I think the ffb is just ok. It's good on gt cars but it is very mushy on road cars especially if you are about to lose the car. Better than GT7 but AC still better at the moment. Hope kunos will fix it.
Another thing that I thought they did great job with was the off track (gravel) simulation, haven't seen anything like it, in another Sims where the gravel actually slows down the vehicle to a point where you can literally feel the virtually sink into the gravel. Also can't wait for drifting content being implemented into the game, after driving the mx5 and BMW cs2 I can see how drifting will be amazing in this SIM and the ford escort was awesome off road which might be indication that rally might finally come into AC Evo?
i disagree on the gravel side, it feel so caned, like it apply a special force to the tire, like a glue effect. You feel it because you can't make a burnout while being slowed down.
So far the FFB and handling are the two most impressive aspects of AC EVO. The cars all feel very good and very well connected to the road. Big fan of the handling so far. It almost feels like a bit of AC1, RF2, Raceroom & a bit of AMS2. As odd as it sounds! Seems to have some of the best qualities of all the good SIM's. The bugs will be fixed and features will be added. The handling model is already A+. 👍
I agree. If I have to compare it with something it feels like a more polished LMU. In LMU the FFB is awesome, but it sometimes feels very raw and with sudden peak forces. But in AC EVO it’s more refined and feels more realistic. Now all I want from this game is some good AA setting, because like it is now on 1080p triples, it looks pretty bad in that department.
Very keen to here how you got good performance in triple 4k. DLSS seems to be disabled once you enable triple screen mode, at least it is for me, and without DLSS I'm seeing 50-60 fps even at low settings with a 4090, 9800x3d and 64GB of DDR5, at native triple 4k. I have gone back to just stretching the sim across all three screens without the triple screen setup, makes the FOV a bit odd but I'm up over 100fps again with DLSS Quality and that makes a huge difference!
Same here. No idea what he did get get it to even run this good. I’m on a 4090/i9 1300 k build and I’m getting 15-20 fps with a full grid. Even with just me on the track I’m only getting 47-55 fps.
I’ve been loving this since release. It struggles a tad in VR on my rig but I’m still blown away by how the cars feel. Birds flying over me doing laps at laguna seca! I had to stop and check I wasn’t seeing things. Immersion plus!
Nice review, Will. I think AC EVO will turn out to be incredible. There is definitely a lot of potential for it. I would compare the actual ffb to iracing and acc. I was impressed to a degree of what they have accomplished also keeping in mind what is coming in a few months. Due to the brand new engine thats built i think a lot of time has gone into what we have here.
Yeah, it's not bad and I agree with you on that word "potential". VR is kinda broken at the moment on multiple headsets, FSR is unusable. There is a stack of VRAM optimisation to be done. I think that is what is causing a lot of the performance issues. It will improve and look forward to watch it grow.
i have the same feeling. Give it a year and maybe resume playing. This early access was a public demo for dev feedback, not a finished game. AC1 still got some time left. Especially is modding is controlled and made impossible for ppl who want to port cool cars without the need of a modding team doing all the work from scratch, but that's another coming controversy lol
I think LMU's graphics are more photorealistic. Yes, ACE has more details, like 3D grass, but overall, it's very similar to ACC and looks like a computer game, while LMU can sometimes really make an impression of photorealism. I was also disappointed by the look of the trees in ACE.

With no cars I’m getting 70-80 or so. With other cars it’s dipping into the 40s occasionally. Thats with HIGH preset and 11520x2160. DLSS should help a lot if they can get that working with triples.

Interesting take on the AI. While I totally agree with your points individually on the AI actions… I actually was happy to see the AI making mistakes. As a VR racer, one of my VR channels said the graphics and performance are pretty bad there. Could you do another run in VR? Also, if you buy early access...is that your full price moving forward or will you have to pay something again as it wees into further development?
Thanks for your video. I plan to get the EVO game the end of 2025 when the game has everything and VR should be refined by them (I don't do triple screen). Till then, I will continue to watch You Tube videos on the EVO game. I wish they would include Rolling starts/formation laps like ACC. But so far, this game is just like AC 1. Just standing starts. You have to have a more powerful PC system and graphics card to run 4K. I have only the RTX-3080TI with my Desktop PC having an I7 processor. So far works great with my other Racing games and with VR being usde. Couple of concerns: Interested in what type of vehicles will be included in the full game end of year. I hope it is more than GT cars, I am getting sick of games with one type of vehicle (GT). I want to know what Kunos will allow with the modding people. Sounds like they are doing restrictions on what content can be added. I shall see when that happens. I really enjoy all the AC 1 mod content. How many US tracks will they include? I do strictly US track racing in my other games such as AC 1 and RFactor 2 and can do the complete race series. Thanks for the great video. Enjoy the new EVO game.
Absolute morons whining about an Early Release game in most comment sections. For sure they have NO IDEA what an early release (testing actually) is all about. When is the full launch - end of 2025! I hope "content" creators set these people straight and tell them to shut up. Yeah it's early morning here and I am salty, but the Steam comment section is even worse than YT... -_-
Hello Will. Great setup as always ;) . I wonder, how did you get the lovely dashboard to work. In SimHub the game is not listed yet and my dashboard does not show any telemetry? Cheers, Alexander
What kind of bezel hinders do you have for your 65in screens? I custom made some for my 55in flight sim cockpit by cutting fresnel lens strips, but yours looks very seamless. Are they a kit?
The clouds needs some work, honestly on a good setup, the graphics are already great! They improved the trees and grass alot in a way they look crisp even if it still needs some visual optimization as well as overall game optimization, i can see this game at the top. Especially when people will start adding reshades filters to their game which am about to do 😈. The menu settings also needs a bit of life, it feels souless at the moment. Lastly, the rain visual effects is not impressive at the moment, driving physics in rain is great. Imo could be a lil better. The wipers are way too fast imo. Even at max wiper speed its not that quick irl, especially in daily normal cars. Overall its a very good early access. Edit: i forgot to say, cars feel like they have no weight when you touch another car in their rear for example. In other games, you can bump other cars without you being that much affected but in evo, its dramatic and you completely lose the front, sometimes even on a slight bump. A bit inconsistant on that part
Logitech pro g wheel feels really light and when cornering there is no fight to get straight which is boring. Iracing can rip my arm off. Hope they increase force
Will, how on earth did you get triples working so well? I have nvidia surround enabled and in the game whenever I enable the Triple Screen option it decides to go and squash the image so that it is trying to fit it within 2/3rds of my display with 1/3 of the bottom of the screen (and one monitor) blank. And then if I try to go into a race with it still enabled, I get a black screen - even with the patch installed that is supposed to fix the black screen issue. I can play the game fine just turning triples off, but the fov is nuts, with the sides of the my monitor wildly distorted as it's not aware it needs to do any perspective correction to compensate for the side monitor angles (and the triple screen settings option is unavailable as I had to disable triples). Have also tried playing the game without nvidia surroud, just using Resize Racoon but the same issues above all apply.
Yeh they definitely need to fix triple screen work's with racoon resize but as a consumer we should not have to download a third app to make it work and performance is garbage, have no doubt kunos will fix definitely has potential
It feels amazing to me. The graphics are very wirey and the white lines and fences are too flickery. Not sure how to fix it otherwise I'm very happy with it.
I don't know why they don't use actual AI instead of old school gaming AI. There's plenty of data available to train a model that would be capable of emulating actual drivers, or the techniques and behaviours of drivers of multiple skill levels.
I can't even get it to run on 1080 triples on the lowest settings. I have a i5 10600kf and 3070, 32ram and get only 15 to 20 fps on triples lowest settings, but get 90+fps on single screen at full ultra settings
I tried VR and no matter the settings it will not go over 60fps, been playing on my TV and ultra wide, @ 4k, it uses 18 to 20 GB of VRAM, so far I am having fun with it and after comparing the GT2 merc in ACC and evo back to back I like the FFB and handling better in EVO, it can only get better for here.
Im not that into car racing, but i do have a sim rig with g29 and 34" uw2k monitor and this triple 65" monitors is my dream, i dont want to race, i just want to joyride in the fh5 open world, but fh got issue with this kind of setup and they dont seem to want to make it works after building that beautiful map, what a waste.
The graphics must only look good if you have a really expensive GPU. On a mid-range system it does not look great (very blurry/smudgy) and the framerates are not great either.
weird how you're able to run this triple screen 4k when VR performance is reportedly so bad (like I heard ~30 frames with a 4090) like 3 4k screen is a lot more pixels than a quest 3 or something right?
I cant really get it to run in triple. The moment i check "triple screen" my fps drops from 120 to 50. And thats on full HD 3x with a 9800x3d and a 7900xt... Any ideas?
Yeah, I had an idea for a torch you can wear on your head so your hands are free to work on stuff. Oh you mean the game? You'll just have to wait for fixes / improvements from Kunos
Go to the top and select your pedals. The UI is indeed lacking. But click wheel: assign buttons, click sim pedals (or w.e you are using) and then assign axis. I had to invert them so click invert on the far right. Hopefully this helps!
Select right device in upper list, then assign, then press properties(?) on the upper right. Usually they are inverted at the beginning and you'll see that when you go in to the pitlane and you have red and green pillars besides speedometer. Pressing pedas they will go done, that means you have to un-invert them :D
AI is blind at race start and during accidents (will just ram you hard); brakes check you on fast corners; then activates push-to-pass (bumps) on slow corners. Needs more work, reminds me of LMU AI.
Nice to see you got it to work somewhat, but using an AMD XTX and triple 1440p, it is a stuttery mess, FSR3 is broken (on triples, it works fine on single), both can be fixed I'm sure, but the FPS is so low that it would be unuseable, like 45 fps on low. Things improve on a single screen 1440p, but the FPS is still less than half than what I would get on ACC. But it is EA I guess, and I have noticed that the XTX doesn't use much more than 250 watts, where on ACC and other heavy games it can easily break 400. Anyway, in my case at the moment I can't really use the game yet, too much not working properly. Hope they don't just focus on the Nvidia gang and screw AMD users, because the XTX really doesn't like this game, and I didn't spend a ton of money on a triple screen sim rig with decent hardware (XTX, 7800X3D) to just be able to use a single screen on Evo. So ACC for now, I expect things to improve a lot, and it must. ;-)
Was nowhere near ready for any type of release, AI is unusable… and considering essentially all you can do is private hot lap - should have waited until the free roam map was ready. I’ll probably end up getting it, and this isn’t a dig at only kunos but early access should mean more than “we’ve just started making the game” I’m sure it will improve like many of the others following the same model, but developers need to get something useable even for early access. People will get bored and put this down very quickly, then it will spike again in June
I'm running 13700k and a 4080 triple 4k, dialed down obviously from a 4090 but can average around 45 fps at 4k and high 50s at 3k surround. With some optimization I can see it been even better. Plus I'm finding it handles fps well, under 60 frames still looking good

As a VR racer, one of my VR channels said the graphics and performance are pretty bad there. Could you do another run in VR? Also, if you buy early access...is that your full price moving forward or will you have to pay something again as it wees into further development?
Can you share your settings?
Getting triples working with DLSS or good performance has been quite the challenge to say the least.
I love this game despite the freezing and stuttering that won’t stop!
That rig is amazing. It looks like you're driving in a real car. How do you make the bezels disappear like that?
Thanks for your video. I plan to get the EVO game the end of 2025 when the game has everything and VR should be refined by them (I don't do triple screen). Till then, I will continue to watch You Tube videos on the EVO game. I wish they would include Rolling starts/formation laps like ACC. But so far, this game is just like AC 1. Just standing starts.
You have to have a more powerful PC system and graphics card to run 4K. I have only the RTX-3080TI with my Desktop PC having an I7 processor. So far works great with my other Racing games and with VR being usde.
Couple of concerns:
Interested in what type of vehicles will be included in the full game end of year.
Outstanding vid 👍
what setting did u use to get that to work on triples. this sim is heavy AF on gpu
You going to review that wheel soon?
Yep
I though this was IRL Footage😮
Absolute morons whining about an Early Release game in most comment sections.
For sure they have NO IDEA what an early release (testing actually) is all about.
When is the full launch - end of 2025!
I hope "content" creators set these people straight and tell them to shut up.
Yeah it's early morning here and I am salty, but the Steam comment section is even worse than YT... -_-
Hello Will. Great setup as always ;) . I wonder, how did you get the lovely dashboard to work. In SimHub the game is not listed yet and my dashboard does not show any telemetry? Cheers, Alexander
Sim hub has an update for evo as of now 😊
@@scorps0326 Great, I'll take a look at it. Thanks for the information :)
What settings are you using? On my triples setup, I'm only getting 55-66 fps max
For some odd reason the Moza r5 don't work...
What kind of bezel hinders do you have for your 65in screens? I custom made some for my 55in flight sim cockpit by cutting fresnel lens strips, but yours looks very seamless. Are they a kit?
I saw your setup video, so it's 2 Asus bezel kits taped together, have you modified that at all in this current video or still the same?
Have you tested VR quality yet? On my mid spec machine VR is completely unusable at the moment.
same here. hope stage 2 will make it playable with 90 fps
I’m so disappointed this game released partially broken with VR. I was really looking forward to it
The clouds needs some work, honestly on a good setup, the graphics are already great!
I love turn one and two at suzuka, In my video you can see the ai just take to the grass
Logitech pro g wheel feels really light and when cornering there is no fight to get straight which is boring. Iracing can rip my arm off. Hope they increase force
What's with the sounds of the tires? Is it normal for the racing tires to be so loud?
Depends on the car/tyre, but yeah they do squeal.
I just fired it up. Didn’t have any problems other than black screen u til I change the resolution in settings once I load on track.
The point should be help others with 3s you dont help us we support who does😊
Ill wait for some optimization or skip it entirely if not fixed.
how do you get the fps to show?
I thought it was real life wtf
Can i setup stream deck in evo?
Thanks for the video. It is a shame that the best AI is in a subscription based sim. Hopefully the ACE AI will improve.
How come you get the telemetry to wheel?
New version of simhub has limited support
I don't know why they don't use actual AI instead of old school gaming AI. There's plenty of data available to train a model that would be capable of emulating actual drivers, or the techniques and behaviours of drivers of multiple skill levels.
I can't even get it to run on 1080 triples on the lowest settings. I have a i5 10600kf and 3070, 32ram and get only 15 to 20 fps on triples lowest settings, but get 90+fps on single screen at full ultra settings
Where is the fsr2 rewiev
In the works
Braking I thought was horrible. Maybe just not used to braking so early. Idk?
Is Beetlejuice driving?
nice rig!
The graphics must only look good if you have a really expensive GPU. On a mid-range system it does not look great (very blurry/smudgy) and the framerates are not great either.
I'm glad Kunos ran with their original engine so modders can seamlessly bring their magical mods over,
Iam playing 1440p tripple and have to play on lowest settings and even than iam lagging. Rtx 4070 super
Game feels great just little low fps
weird how you're able to run this triple screen 4k when VR performance is reportedly so bad (like I heard ~30 frames with a 4090) like 3 4k screen is a lot more pixels than a quest 3 or something right?
Tripple Monitor ? Thats not suppose to be supported yet
The sounds seems identical to ACC
I hope they are just "placeholders". The GTI is probably the best version I've heard in a game. So many struggle to get DSG shifts right
I cant really get it to run in triple.
@@michael1 i mean, even if i he has a 4090. That has roughly 50% nore power. But he is running 3x 4k resolution and its running good.
Couldn't assign my throttle and brake so that was me done for now.
Did you have the right input device selected? It threw me at first. Thought the same thing.
Go to the top and select your pedals. The UI is indeed lacking. But click wheel: assign buttons, click sim pedals (or w.e you are using) and then assign axis. I had to invert them so click invert on the far right. Hopefully this helps!
@@natel7382 I didn't have to invert my throttle and brake axis, but I have Simagic P1000s so not sure if that matters.
@@fullmetalracingesports3169same
Select right device in upper list, then assign, then press properties(?) on the upper right. Usually they are inverted at the beginning and you'll see that when you go in to the pitlane and you have red and green pillars besides speedometer. Pressing pedas they will go done, that means you have to un-invert them :D
I´ve witnessed the biggest kindergarden online in the last 2 days. Its ridiculous how people cry over a 0.1 Early Access.
AI is blind at race start and during accidents (will just ram you hard); brakes check you on fast corners; then activates push-to-pass (bumps) on slow corners. Needs more work, reminds me of LMU AI.
This looks like it's running at 45fps for the most of a time
It was dipping down around groups of other cars quite a bit.
@@boostedmedia yeah, the game definitely needs some performance optimization work
E la madonnaaaa 😍😍😍
5:50 even gt7 Ai does that.. like you not even there.. :D (not sophie)
How do you get hand tracking ??
This isn't VR bro lol
@aplomBomb whatever, his hands are moving in the game, so how ??
So ACC for now, I expect things to improve a lot, and it must. ;-)
Doubt this guy even has the game - probably just scraping Reddit for internet likes.
Was nowhere near ready for any type of release, AI is unusable… and considering essentially all you can do is private hot lap - should have waited until the free roam map was ready.
I’ll probably end up getting it, and this isn’t a dig at only kunos but early access should mean more than “we’ve just started making the game”
I’m sure it will improve like many of the others following the same model, but developers need to get something useable even for early access.
People will get bored and put this down very quickly, then it will spike again in June
Bought the early release can’t even get it to work very disappointed!!!
Early acces si, pero todo tiene su límite...el juego está roto y en VR no funciona 😢
It’s just okay, they should seriously delay the game though. There is no way it’s going to be a polished release in less than 6 months.
phew, im not the only one producing awfull looking videos with bad running games 😆
My RTX 2070 is dying on 4k...
That's because it's a 2070 not because of the game lol
What an absolute mess this early access launch is, triple monitor support is stuffed, im getting 15-20 fps with a 9800x3d and a 4080, sooooo bad
I'm running 13700k and a 4080 triple 4k, dialed down obviously from a 4090 but can average around 45 fps at 4k and high 50s at 3k surround. With some optimization I can see it been even better.
Plus I'm finding it handles fps well, under 60 frames still looking good
