FULL COVERAGE in 4K! - BNSF Train Derailment and Roll Over in Amarillo South Yard!

On the evening of August 16, 2023 a major train derailment in Amarillo's South Yard occurred just off the BNSF Transcon mainline.
BNSF Railfanning Amarillo cameras covered the aftermath and cleanup of this accident. At least eight tank cars were laying on their sides across the switching lead, blocking yard access, a major disruption to the efficient flow of freight traffic on the BNSF Transcon.
This is the full 4K video of the two days required by BNSF Railway crews to get the tank cars involved in the accident off of their sides and back on their wheel sets. Then the crews had to repair track, damaged ballast and other components damaged in the incident, all the while keeping out of the way of freight traffic on Amarillo's section of the Transcon.
You will see many BNSF Transcon trains go by the accident site while the work is going on. One train, has eight power units on the point.
